Help me name our new dog

So I got a new dog just before Christmas and I'm really struggling with a name for the little fella. I like the idea of giving him a name that fits into my love of fantasy/sci fi or gaming but I think that is a slippery slope. There is a fine line between a really good name based on those themes and one that is just hokey.

I'm also not against regular ol' dog names but it would have to be fairly uncommon.

My own short list is:

Bluto
Boomer
Dozer
Gorbo
Baggins

Like I said, struggling. Here are a few pictures. He's an American Bulldog and the last pic is his dad and what he will likely look like as an adult. The hairless one does not need a name, that one we managed.

Go go goodjer think tank!

Pick something you can bark.
Pick something 2 syllables.
Pick something a kid can say correctly.
Pick something that won't embarrass you in public.

How about:
Bane (the Destroyer of Furniture)
Flow (for the Destroyer of carpet smell)
Mingus (for the Destroyer of embouchure, and also great jazz)
Smaug (the dog doesn't look calm enough for a Baggins)

Pac-Man (for trying to eat your kid's foot)

Non-gaming wise, though, he looks like a Bogart, for some reason to me. Call me crazy.

I started with "Help me tag my pet", but thought better of it. I like the idea of Fenrir, but don't see myself yelling it down the street when he chases the mailman. Lollypants Q. Fundog also gets an honorable mention. Maybe he can have aliases, or titles that incorporate these, hmm.

Though if you did choose "dogmeat", you'd have to walk him while wearing a blue jumpsuit with the number 13 sewn on the back.

Chopper, as in "Chopper, sick balls!" (Can't remember what movie that was from.)

Thor, always a strong name.

Or any of the knights of the Round Table. Buddy of mine has a dog named Bors after Sir Bors. Love that name. Go here for a list.

I'm partial to Firefly names (our dog is Kaylee). Being that yours is a bulldog, I vote for Jayne.

Second this. Names that are completely inappropriate for the dog are also good. Like 'Tiny' or something.

I also find the extremely human names funny. Roger, or Carl perhaps. I still don't know. I think it will just have to come to me in my sleep or something. Thanks for all the ideas.

I usually wait to get a feel for a critter's personality before naming them. With a few exceptions, I usually nail it.

Based on the photos, I would suggest:

Boomer
