To hell with all the socks (as AnimeJ calls it)! We have a lot of stuff to be very happy about, and I thought perhaps it would be good to make a clean start in a new thread.

- near and dear to my heart, Farscry is back and ran with us last night! And got upgrades! And says Alaysha is on her way back, as well!

- Dolgen, aka polypusher on the forums, is back as well! Me, Cope, Pur, and Georob ran several instances with him back in the day. Between him and Fars, this is starting to feel like a reunion week or something! ninja

- holy carpola, two awesome Kara runs in one night! A couple months ago, it was considered an exceptionally great Tuesday night if our sole Kara run cleared Attumen - Maiden; last night Blue did that, and Red downed even more! Additionally, Blue sharded nothing and I heard that most of Red's drops were upgrades as well. Grats, all!

- speaking of Kara, new guildie Demnoc answered the call to step into Kara when we needed two more DPS for Maiden. Salire came as well, and together we put that man-thing back in his/her/its place.

- A lot of y'all know this, but Grinders (tundra on the forums) has been making regular runs to help out people who are still levelling, which was completely his own idea of how he could give back. We are extremely blessed not only to have members who are that generous, but newer members who feel that they've been helped and encouraged to the point that they feel a desire to give back!

- speaking of members: 40 people on simultaneously last night! Rock on!

I just thought we all might could use a thread filled with nothing but positive thoughts about our guild and our guildies. Hopefully that's not too corny. Please, if you feel like we have some stuff to celebrate, please share it, or just share in the positive vibes with a quick thumbs-up! ninja

Rawr, huge thanks to Grinders/tundra for the lowbie runnin.

An extension to this brought up in another thread is running more of the old school stuff when there's enough folks around. It does seem that a lot of folks have missed out on it, and some of the old world instances and raids are just way too much fun to really miss out on in my humble, or perhaps not so humble opinion.

As I posted on the other thread, I'd be game for this. I've only been playing about 6 months, so I've experienced none of that content, although I've heard a lot about it over the years. For grouping, I'm usually extremely susceptible to peer pressure...

I am so into this! I've been missing out on these awesome lowbie runs, but my schedule is about to get better as soon as the New Year begins. I'd love to participate! Part of my hesitance to get to end-content is that I don't feel particularly good at what I do in-game (I tend to always play priests, just not exceptionally well), and the experience would help mightily!

It's so you can post in here a lot with good stuff.

Dyrrian recently joined us as well and he has done some lower instance runs for people as well.

Everyone that I have run with in game has been pleasant to run with, that is definitely saying something and something for everyone to be proud of.

Nothing like that; it's more of a freudian slip, I suppose. Guess I made a boob-oo.

Hey, you're calling out my good deeds. Quit that, . I think the whole GWJ alliance has been one big positive experience to me. I love trying to give something back and I think there has been some decent support for the Lowbie runs. I'll continue them as long as they are needed, as we all need a little help sometimes. Please make sure if you are running the lowbie's though, if you want some real instance expericence, we need to slow it down a bit and give you a chance to learn to think through a tough situation. If it is an alt run, bring big bags. Thanks for the kind words.

Tundra= Grinders (main), Grindars (paly alt), also work with Shanker/Reap.

Sorry for the threadjack, but I do not know where to start. I've started WoW now, and I've got a Level 13 Hunter puttering along to the sound of my own drum in Blackhand.

How (and who) do I ask for a GWJ Alliance Guild Application Form?

Read some of the sticky threads or search through some of the older threads on this very topic.

From what I've seen in these fora, all you need to do is type "/who gwj" and whisper folks listed in the dialog box. They'll point you to an officer.

Type /who GWJ when you are online. It will give a list of current members online. Whisper somebody, tell them who you are from the GWJ boards and that you need an invite from an officer. If they aren't an officer, they will point you to one. Welcome!

Hey, what could be more positive than wanting to join us? Like Cope said, just look for anyone online. And the only requirement is to be a member of the boards here, you've been one for almost a year, so, done! Welcome aboard! ninja

Well....Having so many people comment on this thread is proof positive enough for me. We are growing by leaps and bounds and still feel the love. I get wet eyed when I think of the 10 guys we had in a little Battleground fun we had last weekend. We all died ALOT.....and even 'lique went along for her first BG experience..but we had a BLAST!!!!

Well. I've spent a lot of time over the last week reading these several WoW threads; and I'm gratified to see the apparently successful resolution of the guild situation. For me, it came at an interesting time, as I was about to re-activate my 61?-ish Holy Priest, Cerl, for my annual "it's too dark and nasty out for me to do anything but play WoW in the evenings" playtime.

I hesitated, as it sounded as if a lot of the fun had started to disappear; but I think I will be back on board in the next week or so.

That said, I will be only too happy to run with some of the levelling up folks in the "Olde World" instances....with one major exception- NO SUNKEN TEMPLE! I get a headache even thinking about that one- if it's possible to hate an instance, that's the one for me.....

Have a great weekend and thanks for keeping faith with all of us.....
