GWJ - What Realm?
Friday, December 14th, 2007 - 2:45pm
Sorry if this is posted somewhere and I'm just not seeing it..if I'd like to join up with you folks for some WoW action, what realm do you play on, and are there any particular classes needed more than others right now? Ihave a couple of kara-keyed toons I can move over.
Thanks.

Black Hand Alliance.
Edit:
Bring whichever one you like to play, or start a new one; we are pretty casual like that.
However, we do seem to have an abundance of pallies, but if you have one and like to play it , then by all means.
We're short on healers if anything ... but like Hanta said, we encourage you to play whatever it is your having the most fun with.
thanks all. I had quit the game awhile back and come back to find my main's account (lvl 70 resto shammie) had been hacked. The GMs couldn't do anything to restore the items (sharded) since it had been too long so now I'm having to start over, as I have no desire to play a tank (my alt, he oddly was untouched).
I don't think I have it in me to lvl another shammie though I did enjoy the class. Me hates Pallys
so I'll consider a priest or druid.
Who do I contact ingame for an invite?
Paladins aren't THAT bad... I used to be one. And no, I wasn't one of those Bubble Hearth cowards. I fought until somebody died.
I've actually been debating whether or not to pull my T1 Dwarven Priest out of retirement. It became my favorite class and I got really good at it. Being a MT healer was fun and challenging. Heh.
Only, it took me a year and a half to realize that.
I quit right before BC came out, which was about the time my daughter was born.
The main thing holding me back is not having the time to devote to raiding. I can only play once the little one is in bed which basically leaves me with about 2-3 hours to play (give or take).
Of course, he's on Bleeding Hollow where most of my main chars are. I have a few Hordelings on Blackhand though. Tried a Shaman there, it's an ok class but not my style.
Try a different GM, imho - we had a guildie hacked recently, and he got his stuff back.
Plus, we would kill for a Kara-keyed Resto shammy. We have only one 70 shaman in the guild, actually. If you can't get your gear back, an Essence Focuser and whatever the BoE shield is everyone has would be a good start.
We are reguarly sharding mail healing gear in Kara right now, so all that could be yours!
Seriously, even our tankadins are outfitted with much of it.
And dwarven priests are most welcome to join in the shenanigans as well!

Unfortunately, Wreckingcrew was/is a Tauren. I did enjoy the class and was good at it so idk, maybe I'll re-roll. He was pre-kara geared at +1300 or so healing (some cloth mostly mail). I'll try another GM to boot.
What you're actually going to have to do is contact Blizzard's account administration department. GMs have absolutely no power when it comes to things of this nature. Generally, Blizzard is VERY good about getting characters that have been jacked due to keyloggers and the like restored.

We have a few people that dont really raid (although they could) with us currently; due to schedualling issues/time constraints/family. We dont force anyone to raid, nor use DKPs. If you feel like joining us, play how you like, and if you do feel like seeing inside of somewhere (kara), youll have to same right to roll as anyone.
We also use this forum to try to schedual events (required instances/group quests) that people need help with, or you can ask in game, this tends to help with the time constraints as well.
As to required classes, I have always been preferential to the hybrids, so that if I decide id like to play the character a different way I am able. (My pally has about 4 or 5 different gear sets, as i change my mind alot)
Are you forgetting me, or are you forgetting Fignewber? Or did Fig leave in the last week and I just didn't know.
I was forgetting Fig. If you don't tell him, I won't!

And he does mean a lot...as in usually once to twice a week...if not more often
Hanta fills his alt fever by repec-ing so often that it is almost a ritual to ask "Which Hantapants do we get tonight? Healing Hanta? DPS Hanta? Tanky Hanta? Solo Heroic Boss Hanta?...." Yet we love him anyway

Well, as seems usual in the winter, I got an itching to see Stitches again, and I just reactivated. I don't have any characters on Blackhand, but I could potentially transfer one. Do you folks have any need for a 70 druid (currently feral) or a 62ish mage, after some leveling time? I imagine it'd take a few weeks to get him up to 70.
Once again, which do you like to play?
Both, tanks (drood) and range dps/cc (mage) are good; its your time, and either will be welcome.
We don't dictate what class folks should play. One of the first and foremost rules of the BHA is to have fun. So, if the druid and/or the mage makes you happy and you have fun, bring that one over. If you have fun leveling up another character, make anything you want
In short the guild rules are

1. Have FUN
2. Be excellent to each other.
3. Have Fun!
4. Mind the CoC.
5. Have fun!
And did I mention HAVE FUN ?

I had fun in the BG with our GWJ guys and gals. Never laughed so hard dying so many times. Man that Horde Warrior was tough. Oh yeah, we obeyed the guild rules and had fun!
On another note, GWJ Alliance is one that is worth the transfer costs from other realms. Come on over to Blackhand and have some fun with GWJ Alliance.
WOW: GWJ Alliance on Blackhand (BHA)
Any and all classes/spec's are welcome. We will always have room and their is plenty to fill your need to play whatever your style. As an example, last night we had 27 people on-line including 10 in Kara (Estimate around 17 or so 70's). If you look thru the forums, you will get an idea on what you can expect on Blackhand....good clean (most of the time) fun with a great bunch of people.
The key to victory is to not suck as bad as the other side.
Well, I don't really have a strong opinion either way. I like both classes. I was just wondering if there was a clear need for one over the other, since at $25, I probably won't want to transfer more than one. The druid would probably be the easiest to move; she has the fewest social connections. (I'm male, but that toon is female.) Obviously, she would be far more flexible than the mage in terms of what roles she could fill.
This is assuming, of course, that I'm still interested after my 10 days of resurrection, but I suspect I will be. The mage was only 60, so I got him up to 61 yesterday. Lots of fun. (He's, um, well-rested, not having been played significantly for at least 18 months, maybe 2 years.)
The new frost spec is great.
So, from the lack of response, I take it there's no particular shortage of either type?
Malor,
I don't think this can be stressed enough. GWJ is not about shortage, its about having fun and being a community. Pick the class you'd like to play, and play it. It doesn't matter that your toon is female and you are a male. Again, just play what makes you happy. You'll be welcomed.

When all is said and done, well then you're just done. Duh!
If you wanted numbers, we've got a few 70 mages and 2 active feral druids. Generally the only thing found short as of late has been healers, but we do have what ails ya. So just as everyone else has stated, play what gives you the most fun
