Wing Commander remake or re-release?

Ok so Gametap releases Wing Commander, WCIV and WCII. Now they are going to be taken out of the rotation tomorrow. (dec 11th)
Now they mention it could be because of customer feedback or because a publisher requests it. I see no reason to take these games out unless the publisher asked Gametap to do so. The only reason why they would do this has to be because they are planning to re-release the games.
I loved playing the games on gametap. Well it can use some tweaking, but I would easily pay money for these games again.
Wing Commander is being pulled from GameTap because EA is not renewing their deal with GameTap. All EA games are coming down, as GameTap will no longer have any right to distribute them.
It has absolutely nothing to do with the Wing Commander games themselves, they're 3 of a whole bunch of games being taken down.
