Civ4 BTS Sunday Speed Play Games

Ferret and Zaque Zundu and I had a good time with a speed-style game of Civ4 BTS this past weekend. In three hours, we probably got in half a game.
Now we are looking to expand for the future. While we're unable to play this Sunday (barring further developments on the social scene), we'd like to set up a regular Sunday afternoon (Eastern US time) game that would have enough players to survive the occasional no-shows.
Who's up for some quick-play Civ4?

I dunno about the "Quick" setting, but we just play live while on Steam voice chat and ruthlessly heckle the slowpoke. (Well, not really on the heckling, but we think about it. We bad.)

Hopefully we can attract a few more people to accommodate those in your position, Atras. But it's really fun, we did about three hours - doesn't eat the whole day or anything.

I'm definitely interested in playing but can't commit to a regular event.
I'm the one who "convinced" Ferret to pick Civ up in the first place.

Well, it's looking like this Sunday is a bad idea. I'll resurrect in the near future after the holiday has cleared.

But anyway, yeah, the game we played Saturday was a blast, and playing on Quick does make it as least likely that a full game can be finished, a rare thing in multiplayer Civ4 has I understand it.

I'm definitely still 100% interested in trying to arrange more games like this.
I can make almost any time this weekend work as long as I can pin it down reasonably-kinda-sorta quickly. Past experience indicates that while more is merrier, even 3 is enough to make it worth doing.

I'd be up for this as well. Availability on Sunday would vary (pending what the wife and kids are doing), but I could probably play twice a month if that's good enough.

Pretty much anytime Sunday EST will work for me too, preferably with a couple days' notice, but on Sunday even finding out the exact time as late Saturday wouldn't be tragic.

If you guys are rolling this around 4pm EST, I should be able to jump on it, I likely can split my football time with CIV time. Steam or XFire are the best ways to ping me when you want to start.

I will also alert Jayavarman, who loves Civ. I am not sure of his availability for Sundays. He also has Civ IV, but doesn't (yet) have BTS.

Atras, I'd love to do a start time of around 1300, since Zaque is far to the east of most of us and that's 1900 for him. But let's see how people's times shake out - so far you are the most restricted I think. (No offense intended.)

Well at least this weekend is out for me, since it is the family christmas dinner. I love danish christmas dinners.

I'll contact anyone I can find on both Steam and Vent, but we should definitely use the Vent server for voice. We tried the built in voice with Steam last time, but it's pretty horrifically limited on options (the microphone is always, always, always on and no option exists for changing that we could find), so we probably should use the Vent server for yapping.

It looks like my Sunday availability is going to be iffy at best for awhile, though I hope to read reports on all the fun I'll be missing out on here.

Sounds like we have at least a few anyway. Any objections from anyone to another Pangaea map? I got the impression from the reactions I got last time that it may not be a normal choice for human multis, but it seemed to work out pretty fun.

Okay, we played a bit then Atras had to leave. So, looks like next week at 1300 EST. Contact one of us on Steam near that time to get the server info. We are looking at four as a minimum.
