What's on your Christmas list?
Monday, November 19th, 2007 - 7:34pm
Trying to get my Christmas list together this week and I need some ideas. So far I have COD4 and the Seinfeld boxset on the list. What's everyone wanting for Christmas? DVD's, games, books, a love doll?

Brainwave puzzles:
You have a metal contraption that you try to get a ring or bar off of the rest of the puzzle... It is great fun in a room full of nerds who believe they can solve anything in 2 minutes or less. It will also amuse 12 year olds for a good 20 minutes (which is part of my profession).

A new watch. I settled on one of the Timex Ironman Solar Shocks. Also an mp3-playing alarm clock radio.

Gift Certificates to Best Buy. My wife and I like to go shopping during Boxing Week. And I like to be surprised, so I don't make a list.
Torq - I can certainly see myself whipping it out for a quick solo on commutes though.

I usually get what I really want during the year unless an item comes out during the holiday season. Everything else that I can wait for (and get others to pay for) is something that I wouldn't mind seeing under my tree.
- Games: Geometry Wars: Galaxies (ds & wii), Phoenix Wright, Contra 4, Team Fortress 2 (PC), NiGHTS, Guitar Hero II or III
- All three Plush Chocobos
- Alucard
- Money or Gift Cards for new clothes
- Jewelry (specifically a pendant in the shape of a snowflake with either diamonds or blue topaz)

I keep asking Santa for the same thing each year but I haven't received it yet. I'm starting to think he doesn't exist.

I listed just about every good game to those I know, primarily so that I have a reason not to buy them right away. Saved me about $300 this month, at least.
On the DVD front the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumia DVDs and Mushi-shi DVDs. Great, great anime series right there. Oh, and Casino Royale because that movie kicked ass.
Okay so people do read them. That's good to know! It's just that no one really cares to suggest a new signature to me. It's not the signature block, it's me! Wait...
I think I need a sunlight lamp for home. It's so dark in the winter.

I haven't had any kind of Christmas list in years. If people get me stuff.. that's cool.
If not, that's ok too.

On the most likely to happen list:
1) The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (yes, I still don't have it)
2) Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (dido)
3) Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock (most likely to get from my brother)
4) Photography Equipment
5) Legos (any kind are fine, but I really covet the Ultimate Star Wars collection, already have the Star Destroyer and Y-Wing)
Not likely to happen:
1) 360 with a bunch of games
2) Computer upgrades
Otherwise I am sure to get a bunch of weird "creative" gifts (chocolate potato chips?!) from various members of my family. I find it funny that people have such a hard time finding stuff to get me when I think I am damn easy to shop for. Especially my dad, he has no clue.

Me too! I suspect, however, that he's having trouble finding a way to fit "world peace" in a box, though. I hear Nintendo is selling a similar product these days, but it's hard to find in stores.
Those all sound ripe for an S&T.

I've been checking out the Daxter PSP package. I think that's the main thing I'm going to ask for. Other than that, cash?
1. A Canon Powershot SD850 IS camera.
2. Time to play Halo 3.
3. A superthin laptop.
4. World peace? Or an ice cream cone.

"YOU SPOIL, YOU GET SPOILED! AAAAHAHAHAHAHA!"
24" Flat Screen Monitor for my PC. leaning towards a Samsung SyncMaster 245BW, but not too picky. Anyone have one of these?
We have a hat we draw names from and a $200 limit. I host the Family Wish List on my website and folks e-mail me their list and I post it. So I'm going to ask for a gift card to an electronics store, plus my dad has offered me $100 towards a new monitor. That's $300, and I can swing the rest. The unit I'm looking at costs around $450+.
So, I need your help. Which store should I tell them to get the gift card from; Best Buy, Circuit city, CompUSA, other?
