Interplay, you, and how the heck are they gonna pull it off?

So Interplay is trying to get back into the "game" so to speak. They are planning to release MDK, EWJ, Dark Alliance and Descent titles. As we can see these are all sequels to games we have played. I guess they are playing it safe with unoriginal IPs.

So My question to you is what do you want to see in these games if they ever make it to the light of day? Personally I'm a big fan of decent and with what can be done in PC/Console games. There is a chance to make Descent into something awesome. Things that couldn't be done before like proper scaling of objects to give a feeling of size and mass. Earthworm Jim is a tricky game to see in this day and age. I'd rather not see it make the jump to 3D(again) and screw it all up(again).

This was interesting as well. "Jason Anderson, a lead artist on the original Fallout game and cofounder of the defunct Troika Games, to serve as creative director for an unannounced MMOG." Fallout MMO how you haunt me so. =(

Dark Alliance as in the Baldur's Gate games? I'd love another one of those. Those two games are the only games I've played through with my wife.

Interplay died.

Interplay is still twitching and shuffling about.

Clearly Interplay is a zombie.

Chiggie and I should probably go kill it with shotguns to the head.

I didn't know that but I'm looking forward to all those games you mentioned. I liked them all. I doubt they can pull off the humor of MDK, but I won't mind them trying.

I would love to see another Descent game. I loved the second one that had Type-O-Negative do the soundtrack...

That would, indeed, be awesome. Dark Alliance 2 ended in such a way that a sequel needed to happen. Much like Beyond Good and Evil. >_<

I agree that I'd like to see another Dark Alliance game, those have always been enjoyable for me. Im a little more hesitant to see another Descent title though. I have such great memories of playing the original in my computer classes in high school that I'd hate to see another hatchet job on a game that holds such fond memories
