Recommend a how-to book
Monday, October 15th, 2007 - 8:30pm
I got promoted to the credit manager position at our school. One of my new duties is to collect on the student accounts. I have never done collections in my life. We've already provided the service to the student, so there's really nothing we can take away that would push the student into paying. I can turn them over to a collection agency after about year, but the bosses sort of frown on that. Can anyone recommend a decent how to do collections book or anything else? I've already checked with the local colleges to see if they have any classes that cover collecting; it was a no go. Help!

I found several here. I can't personally vouch for any of them, but it seems like a good place to start.

Don't you mean "uncool to not pay"?
