The fellas from GFW seem to think there is some funny writing from the Old Man Murray guys throughout the game. Sounds awesome! Impressions, spoiler tags where appropriate, etc.

This sucks so far it's not unlocking for me or saying anything other than launch game but it still says it's unreleased.

Edit: Strange, it seems like i had to restart steam, now it's unlocking which is good.

Yay Im in. Clever game. I hope it's not too short and offers at least a little replayability.

I'm totally curious about this game. Maybe I can even get my girlfriend to play it, she likes puzzle games, and is much better at them than me. I wonder if I will finish it, ever.

I'm through most of the training missions and I think the game is fantastic so far. Wrapping my mind around how to use the portals is very satisfying in solving these puzzles. Can't wait for the meat of the game.

I beat the game's main story mode. I'll try and tackle the bonus maps later on today. Awesome credits!

Done already? Wow.

This is a great game so far. It makes you feel so clever for solving each puzzle.

Finished.

Brilliant.

Will enjoy a second run-through on the 360, as well as clicking that "Bonus Maps" menu item the game kept flashing at me.

It says a lot about the game since some people jumped right in to Portal before even Episode 2. I can't wait to try this tonight!

I think that has a lot to do with being able to play a couple of levels and walk away without losing anything. When I start on episode 2 I want to be able to play for several hours uninterrupted and really be immersed, but I have no problem doing a level or two of portal at the time.

Yeah, I only played Portal this morning before work because I knew I could get a few quick levels in (finished 6 in about 10 minutes). I wish it were longer but the concept and execution are perfect. The humor is great too.

Played and finished. Love how the game ramps up things and takes some pretty interesting turns with very small bits of info you can overturn. I'm playing it through again with commentary enabled. Very, very awesome game. I wish they took off with the direction they were heading a bit more but they decided to pull a Blue Shift with it. Though in all honesty I think it really says something how I managed to play the whole thing through in one go, I was enthralled the entire ride through.

Also, custom maps! I can't wait to see what people do with Portal, hell, i'm even interested in giving the Source SDK another crack to see if I can't piece together a devious Portal maze.

So is this thread about Half Life 2 or Portal? The title confuses me.

Possible Spoiler but I need help (and I feel bad for asking but oh wells).

I'm sure it's easy but how do I get the brick for the exit from where it's at on level 18?

Back on topic, I think there's a definate market for something like the Quake Done Quick series with Portal.

Same here, took a grand total of 3.5hrs to play through. The humor throughout was great and the closing credits had me howling

Looking forward to the bonus/challenge levels ... probably after Ep2 though.

The sliding panel that you entered the room through is angled when extended. You must deploy the panel, put a portal on it and then look down to the right and place a portal down below then jump through it. You've got to be quick before the panel closes again.

There are speedruns for pretty much every game imaginable, though I'm sure it'll be a few weeks/months before a truly impressive one shows up

I was so impressed with this game. I had high expectations for the gameplay, but the plot totally had me by surprise. Of course, it could be from me not reading any spoilers before hand. There are so many memorable moments for me by this, and it's only a 3 hour game! GG Valve!
