WoW - 2.3 is on the PTR - some rejoice, some mourn.

Now hurry up and give me 2.3!

Blizz said that unless something goes horribly awry with 2.2.3, 2.3 is up next.

has anyone been able to download 2.2.3? I am trying and the launcher just hangs at "preparing to download new patch". It seems weird but oh well I will try later today, if all else fails.

Also, I had no problems downloading 2.2.3.

I had issues using the launcher, but skipped that and did it through the game with no problems. Here's to seeing 2.3 up within a week or so.

According to Tigerclaw, the Mac QA guy who posts on the PTR forums, the 2.3 PTR release is imminent. [EDIT: And now, thanks to the editing of the title of this thread, the previous sentence makes me appear to be a drooling idiot.]
I'm really looking forward to it, since I can't play WoW with the sound in its current broken state. Even 2.2.3 didn't fix all the missing spell sound problems.

Broken sound doesn't bother me in the least; while I have it all on, I never really listen to it. It's mostly just background noise to me.

Sorry to hear about you Fury guys losing Death Wish. Didn't see that one coming.

I was going to wait until RotLK, but the Shaman changes in 2.3 may be compelling enough to get me to resubscribe.

With a Pally main and a Shammy as my top alt, I am a very happy guy. Talents should be like this - lots of good choices, feeling like I want more than I have the points for. Good times!

I was thinking about this too. Very nice buffs for Enhancement Shamans.

Could we edit the thread title to be a bit less... oh... flamboyant?

* Weapon Expertise (Protection) renamed Combat Expertise, now increases expertise by 1/2/3/4/5 and total Stamina by 2/4/6/8/10%.
I'm so happy I could cry
Respec in 2.3 imminent if this goes through! (Krindle will have about 14.2k unbuffed health as it stands right now) Booya!
Now to figure out what I'll lose...

Have I mentioned what a great time the GWJ Alliance has been having lately, running instances, PvPing, and raiding Kara with old friends and new?

Hopefully this won't sit on the test realms for 6 weeks.
And Fury warriors just got kicked in the junk..HARD.
So nice to be missed.

Hey Fed, New build is 0/46/15 for tanking from the old 0/49/12...
Basically drop reckoning for combat expertise (gain 10% stam and reduce parry and dodge on bosses by 2.5% each), and gain Imp SotC - Which will allow ALL attacks to increase crit chance by 3% (as well as increase your holy damage by WAY more then before).
3% more crits for all those rogues, warriors and hunters on Curator, and Pally MTs just gained an extra 100stam (or 110 with kings)...I think the big metal bucket's going down

All I can say is wow. I have to reread this a couple times to let it all absorb.
And Krin, don't forget about Sun
He's got that tanking spec too

Amen brother
The tanks in our guild all gained some nice little buffs via our Ret brothers.
This should make pally tanking more viable for quicker killing in DPS races, and getting that much needed heal is slightly easier too (10% more unbuffed health, and AD will kick in earlier too!!!)
Still means you have the same difficulty getting to uncrushable, but at that point, it just got a little easier.
Likewise, here's hoping they "fix" Redoubt and BoSanc in 2.4 and we're golden.

It's gonna kill me to lose my 45-second stun cooldown, but killing bosses is definitely a bigger concern than stunning trash that is out of control.
Kind of sucks that the Prot build is gonna be even more uniform now, but hey, more stam ftw!

yeah, I'm going to lose Imp Aura of Concentration when the patch goes through, and not having reckoning will slow down the AoE farmage a little...
But as far as raids go, Holy damage increase of 218 (currently 190 with SotC), and 3% crit on judgement means I keep the same threat or more above all dps, I get parried and dodged 1/2 the time (base 5% each, now reduced by 2.5% as human), and can take the hits a little better. Totally worth it IMO. Hopefully they'll trim the tree a bit and we'll have a few points to move around freely.

I am so pissed right now. Blizzard, if you want us to be rogues in kitty form, give us sap or some CC as well. You want us to take rogue gear away from rogues, well you just got your wish.

Believe it or not, I was just thinking earlier today about how I missed running with you, and about what a generous guildie you are with your time. But bro, if we ain't married then I get to have fun with other people as well.

That is one nice thing about having Alts or helping others' Alts, too. You get chances to group with people you might not otherwise see as much. It's been a lot of fun running with Fidd, Leap, & Blyvie as Aesildur. I've grouped with Gloc a whole lot more than Krindle, which is great. Even got to group with Sigs! Had to put up with her worse half, mind you, but, she was worth it.
When I sit down and think about all the GWJers I really enjoy grouping with, the list really is getting quite long now.

Huh? This change isn't going to make me stop tanking with my druid. Tanks are still far more needed by PUGs than DPS.
On the other hand...
Thank you for removing a nice flourish used by many mages to indicate their sheep target.
