Monday is Columbus Day and some have the day off, so let's play some TF2 for several hours on [b]Sunday night[/b].
I guess a good idea would be to hang in the GWJ Steam Community Chat Room if the server is full and let it be known you're wanting to play. GWJers are gracious folk and should be able to work you in in a round or two. Just remember to do unto others.

Yeah, I'm in the same timezone, it's not exactly optimal but doable depending on your sleep pattern. I usually play on Stan's from some time after 05.00 to 07.00 (CET). I get the impression that people don't take me seriously when I say good morning when I log on.

Friends just invited me to drinks at 8pm on Sunday, so I probably won't make it. But that will leave an extra spot for others and I play all the time anyway, so no worries. If I'm back in time for the last round I'll jump on.

Thats not a solution.. we need either a 2nd server or more slots.. is TF2 good for 32 players or is 24 a better amount and a 2nd server?

There is a hack to get it up to 32, but it's only built for 24. I've played on servers that were hacked up to 32, and it gets really laggy and buggy. Second server is probably the best option, but the catch there is that 90% of the time, we barely fill up Jake's server.
