Just joined Steam community...
Hi there everyone!
I just joined the GWJ Steam comminuty (thanks for the invite, whoever that was!), and now I'm wondering: What do I do now that I am part of the Steam community? I'm very new to this whole online community thing, since I did not have broadband before and mostly played single player games. The only multiplayer I did do was when we had LAN parties, but that died out as everyone got married and started getting kids....
I know the Team Fortress beta is out and everyone is playing that, but seeing as I cannot get into that (Correct me if I am wrong), what else can I do?
I will probably be getting the orange box when it comes out here (only on 19 October, the bastards!). A full week after the rest of the civilised world getsit, that is not fair! At least it will not be so overpriced as some things are...
Last thought: Are there anymore people in the GWJ community that come from South Africa? I would like to think that I am not alone....
Regards to all

You can get into the beta if you preorder. I think the offer still stands.

If you pre-order the Orange Box through Steam, you will have access to the Team Fortress 2 beta. Once you're in the Gamers With Jobs community page, you can see what other people are playing and join them, pop into the chat room or just gaze into Stan's dreamy eyes
Certis beat me to it. - Elysium

Hmm, would love to do the preorder thing, but I don't have a credit card
. And Paypal etc doesnt work over here, we have too strict foreign exchange control laws....
Oh well, only 11 days to go, I can make it till then I guess?
