Greatest webcomic ever?

This is one or is the best webcomic i've ever read. Seems like it's only just got going but it's just fantastic!
Not really sure where to go with this thread so perhaps list other really good, obscure webcomics - i.e. not penny arcade or mega tokyo...

Tales of the Revenant is awesome pulpy goodness. Think of ghost rider reimagined in the 1930's and 1940's, fighting against lovecraftian monstrosities.
The brain you stole, Fritz. Think of it. The brain of a dead man waiting to live again in a body I made with my own hands!

I love TsuChan
It's a very Japanese culture-centric comic, with lots of little off-shoot projects that the creator comes up with. Pretty amusing at times, but very in-cultureish.

This is one of my favorites. Basically, the lead character lives like all 14 year old nerds wish they could.

My vote is for Red Meat.
Sorry everyone but Duoae had the correct answer. Edwin is a close second but he gets points deducted for bringing up a webcomic that's been dead for a couple of years now.
Grenn? See me after class.
When it comes to slightly gonzo storytelling, nothing beats A Girl and her Fed for me. And there's always Digger, the technically-furry comic even Lobster could get behind, but its archives are subscription-based.
And if I haven't seen further, it's because those bloody giants blocked my sight.
Yeah, not so fond of the most recent art-style. I liked the second guy and then the third guy before he "normalised" the character designs a bit more in this current fourth stage...

I love www.sinfest.net
It might not be safe for work though. There is no nudity but there is some strong language/drugs/hoes etc. Its hilarious. Start from the beginning, if its your kind of thing you will love it.
I'll throw in a few more random ones:

They ended Indefensible Positions recently, so I'm glad to see a few good suggestions here to replace it in my traditional crawl.
The Whiteboard And irascible polar bear airsmith and a whole lotta paintball jokes.
Ever After This fairy tale isn't just fractured. It's been crushed into a powder and then the powder has been used in some dark ritual. Just when you think there's nothing new to be said about this sort of thing, you run into something like this. I like the art, and the creepy take.
Jetpacks and Time Machines This one's pretty new. Sort of a gag-a-day, but it it starting to develop. I love the art style so I'll stick with it for a while.
No Need for Bushido Smartass meets samurai. Though I actually like his original style/story better than the current offering, but that might be because I haven't had time to read the entire archive so as to figure WTHeck is going on in the modern part. But it's still cool.
I got a million more, if these fit the bill.

Oh, that's hard. My favorite is probably Schlock Mercenary, but admit that it is probably too nerdy for most.
I will also admit to being a fan of Sheldon.

Bah, you all fail. The greatest webcomic EVAH is, of course, Dinosaur Comics. End of story.
(Be sure to hover your cursor over the comic each day for a little easter egg.)

XKCD is it. End of story. I like other webcomics just fine, but XKCD is the one true and correct choice for this question.

Tomfoolery
OOtS is good, but hardly obscure. Even in the webcoming world, the guy has been retired from every webcomic listing out there, not to mention the fact that it's run in Dragon and a couple other major publications. I hate to say it, but I don't think that Fred from MegaTokyo has achieved the kind of success that Rich has.

XKCD is really good.
My friend Will used to do some webcomics that I find hoo-larious: http://redheadedleague.com/cartoons.html
I recommend The Bat-Man especially. He doesn't update anymore, however.
Lucky Ghost: Network Stars
Updating once every other year or so doesn't count. But speaking of dead webcomics Chris Livingston's Concerned: The half-life and death of Gordon Frohman is hilarious. If you ever played Half-Life 2 then you really should do yourself a favor and start reading.
As for comics that are still updating, I'm pretty partial to Starslip Crisis right now. It's a serial so you'll need to start at the beginning but it is well drawn and has some very smart writing.
Finally, The Comics Curmudgeon is a great place to watch the train wreck that is bad comics as well as finding other occasional nuggets of high quality snark.
Why is noone mentioning Achewood. Why?!?
