Help with Fallout sound problems

I wasn't sure if I should post it here or in the 'Games and Platform' forum. A quick search on google provided no solution.

I picked up the Fallout Collection for the PC (1+2+tactics) from GoGamers last week. Upon installation, the games load and play fine, the intro, cut scene movies and everything. Except there's no background music during the regular game play and it's missing *some* of the sound effects (weird). Sometimes after I use the inventory, the sound goes away all the together. If I save and reload, the sound would come back (but still no background music).

what gives? anyone experiencing anything like this in this or any other games?

Its been a while but I don't believe there is any background music during normal gameplay, just a few background noises and the like. As for your other sound issues, the collection probably doesn't need patching so you might try turning off sound acceleration in the control panel.

Oh, there is. Actually, I`m listening to the Fallout soundtrack right now. Regarding the problem- have no idea, but you should hit No Mutants Allowed forums, if anyone knows how to fix your problem, it`s them.

Ah Ha! a quick search on the No Mutants Allowed forum found the fix to the music problem. I had to make a minor path modification in the .cfg file. Along with turning off the sound acceleration, everything is now working properly. Thanks very much to Agent 86 and Most.
