I wasn't into it when it was on TV last season but then decided to give it a chance when it came out on DVD. I enjoyed it immensely and I can't wait for the second season. I'm also madly in love with Milo Ventimiglia.

Who isn't lol. I have to admit when I first saw previews for the show I thought it was going to tank. But then I caught the first show on a rerun and have been a fan ever since.

That episode with time travel and ice vs. fire showdown of Peter vs. Sylar was great and should've been swapped with the underwhelming finale.

Seconded. A little research about the effects of air-burst nuclear detonations might've been nice, too, but that might just be me being picky.

I saw the premier, and i kinda liked it. What hooked me was when Nathan saved Peter. I loved that misdirection. It's surprised me a lot and I cannot wait until the new season.

The time travel episode was definitely the most awesome of the season (future Peter was every bit as badass as someone with his power should be), but I thought the final episode was just fine, and tied things up it a satisfying manner. Also,

I can't wait to see what comes of that.

My only concern is that as is the case with other shows with this kind of narrative structure (ie, Lost), it won't be nearly was fun to watch one episode a week as it was to watch a few episodes a day on DVD. Of course, there's no way I'll be able to wait another year to watch this season, so I'll just have to hope for the best on that.

As someone who really loves that whole genre and historical era, I just wanna see the reactions between Hiro and his ancestors. I mean, their religion is based around ancestral worship to a degree, so how's that going to play out?

Of course, I might be asking too much from an hour.

I'm looking forward to the new season, just not as much as I was hoping. The last episode of season one was a real let-down in every sense of the word.

say it aint soo. Even though it didnt end with a "exploding conclusion" (haha get it, lame try at being funny) I'm still looking forward to next week's episode. How can you not love it... it plays like a comic book... and who doesn't love a great comic books?

Its like everyone else has said, the time-travel episode was extremely awesome. Going from that to the complete anti-climax of 'STAB YOUR DEAD! OH NO WHERE'D HE GO?!' was jarring at best. Thats not to say that I'm not looking forward to the new season, but I'm just a little more weary of what to expect.

Stan Lee is simply giving us refried "X-Men" all over again in a little less comic-booky fashion. Some of the conventions, such as "Stab you're dead, oh no, he disappeared down the convenient manhole" things are just going to still be there.

Perhaps you meant Jeph Loeb, who is a little lesser known comic book guy, but I couldn't find any evidence of Stan Lee's involvement with Heroes, other than a tongue-in-cheek bit role as a bus driver in one of the episodes.

I was feeling about the same as everyone else, excited-but-not-too about the new season, until I found out that Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) will be in AT LEAST thirteen episodes this season, and may become the season's "Big Bad." Or a good guy. We're not sure. But THIRTEEN EPISODES ZOMG.

I raise my glass to the idea of Hayden Panettiere and Kristen Bell sharing screen time.

Screen time? Who cares if they share screen time?

That said, I'm really looking forward to the new season. Unlike others here I really enjoyed the finale and all the characters coming together, regardless of whether or not it was the "ZOMG ITS TEH CLIMAX" that everyone was expecting or not.

Yeah, same here. The last two times my wife and I did this (caught up with a series on DVD) we enjoyed the DVD version much more than the week-by-week version. Those shows being Battlestar Galactica and Lost. Both had great pacing when you're watching 2 or 3 episodes 4 or 5 days a week. Suddenly they seem to drag when you're watching them a week at a time. Hoping for the best as well.

As for the final episode, I loved it. It was a great book-end to the first episode where Nathan caught Peter.

No, I mean Stan Lee... this has his fingerprints all over it, regardless of who gets billing here.

I can almost see this as a precursor to the X-Men and the forming of the Academy by some Professor Xavier. The premise, 'friction between homo superior and homo sapiens,' is shaping up quickly to be identical and the ways mutants deal with the problems of oppression are likewise starting to shape up in similar fashion.

I'm sure Stan has a certain say in what goes on in a consultative way. X-Men worked, why not change it up a bit, make the people seem a little less cartoony and see what happens?

I don't know if Stan Lee is capable of that, though. I could see Stan saying, "Less Cartoony? What is this that you speak of?" Do you think that Alan Moore is quietly contributing, too?

It seems to me the shows creators have gone out of their way not to say the word "mutant" too much, but there are a few natural plot parallels between Heroes and Xmen. Finished watching the series last night, and as much as I hate going week-to-week with cliffhanger episodes, I can't freaking wait til the premiere. Lets hope they don't start giving eachother superhero names and spandex suits though.

DVR is set, anticipation is building. I didn't get into Heroes until SciFi ran their marathon just before the final episode on NBC, but holy crow did I get into it once I started watching. I"m not sure what the half-life on the series is going to be. After all, we've already seen Hiro go from cutesy little cube-worker to stoic samurai killing machine. I'm very excited for the new season, but I'm just not sure if the concept has legs. Or rather, if the writers can avoid the cliches of the over-done genre. That said, I'm happy with the series and grateful for the fun so far.
