Is it possible to upgrade a PSP?

First, Hello to all. My question is this: Do you know if it is possible to "update" or upgrade a downgraded psp. I ask this because I downgraded my psp about a year ago and now that I have a ps3. I wanted to link it to the ps3 to play around with the remote play options. I tried to update my psp but got an error "DADADADA"

Also recently I have been unable to connect to the internet wirelessly. I keep getting an internal error "80410A0B". And the WLAN light no longer blinks.

Right now I am running 3.03 0E-B if that anyone helps. I've googled the problems but haven't run into anything really helpful. Too many questions and no answers.

I'm guessing you have to first downgrade it to firmware 1.5?

Don't take my word as gospel jag, but I think you can upgrade at any time using the upgrade option from the PSP menu.

You ought to check and see if one of the custom firmwares will let you interact with the PS3 remotely yet retain the ability to run homebrew.

If you can't connect to the internet wirelessly you may have trouble updating, and I don't know anything about that issue.

Check out PSPupdates and QJ.net, those are the two biggest sources of PSP news that I know of.

Try starting a thread called "PS3 and PSP connectivity" or similar in the Games section, where more will see it. Not sure who on GWJ has both, though.

Also, your firmware is really old. Ask in that thread for someone to point you in the right direction.

Yep it's possible. I mean don't you watch MacGyver?

I like how you use extra question marks for the first question in your header, and none for the second.

use this program:

http://dl.qj.net/PSP-Upgrader-Downgrader-Lite-PSP-Tools-Utilities-(on-PC)/pg/12/fid/14220/catid/193

Quote:
Coder Bob Joe has developed a PSP Upgrader/Downgrader that should make upgrading, downgrading, and installing a custom firmware much easier. Amazingly, has a very big coverage including some of the most popular firmware from 1.50 to 3.52.

The program is very easy to use and will copy all the files for you as well as give you step by step instructions. The developer has given word thought that this is the first release, so there might be a few bugs. If you're interested in the development cycle of the program, Bob Joe also gave some details on the improvements implemented since he made version 1.0.

If you want to go to the "official" firmware, you can just select that you're using OE, and that you want to go to 3.52. Should do the trick. Then you can upgrade further if you desire.

edit: BTW, there are several PSP related threads in the GAMES & PLATFORMS section.

I used the program SommerMatt linked the last time I upgraded my firmware. That said, you should never, never go to an official firmware - go to the latest 3.52 MM or whatever the heck it's called these days.

Also, if you missed the thread, Jeanne D'Arc totally rocks the house if you like a tactical RPG. D&D Tactics reputedly does not so much.

"3.52 M33-4" is the latest for the fatty, although there is a 3.60 for the slim which requires a lot of extra stuff.
