Hypothetical Question...
Hypothetically speaking - lets say you have an opportunity to win $1,000,000 in a contest. To win - you must choose from one of the following five options:
"Punch" option ---- You will be punched in the face, just once, by a big fat man. The punch is guaranteed not to be fatal nor to cause brain damage, but you will likely sustain a nasty injury such as a split lip, black eye or perhaps even a broken nose. After being punched - you will be given the $1,000,000!
"Bomb" option ---- Nothing will happen to you. However, you will start the countdown on a huge bomb that is hidden deep inside the center of the Earth. The bomb is large enough that, when detonated, it will cause devastating earth quakes and floods all over the planet. The bomb is completely undetectable and can not be disarmed. However it will not detonate until exactly 5,000 years in the future. As soon as the countdown has started - you will be given the $1,000,000!
"Insults" option ---- Twenty people will shout terrible insults and obscenities at you for one full hour. These people will not come into physical contact with you nor harm you, but they will say all sorts of horrible and upsetting things to you. After one full hour of intense verbal abuse - you will be given the $1,000,000!
"Magic" option ---- Your personality and ethical convictions will be painlessly altered in some unknown way by a magic spell. The alteration will be instantaneous and will not affect your memory, cause brain damage nor result in any physical harm of any kind. After the alteration - you will be given the $1,000,000!
"Nothing" option ---- None of the above. Nothing happens to you or anyone else, but you will NOT be given any money.

I'll take insults for a million bucks. After that, they're a dead even tie for 5th, with Nothing being right behind insults. I'm not a huge fan of getting punched in the face, and future generations have enough to worry about without me jacking up their plaent. As to magic? I'm a pretty big fan of how I am now, I've worked pretty hard to be who I am, and dammit I'm gonna stay that way.

Insults, punch, nothing, magic, bomb. I got picked on enough, and still do, that I can handle that easily. A punch...eh, the results go away quickly enough. But I'm not really thrilled about the idea of screwing up the future with the bomb, nor having to deal with the results of my personality being all shnackered.

You know, $1 million isn't all that much anymore. It's certainly a lot, but not a mythical, unimaginable amount of money. Here in Monterey, $1 mil buys a semi-nice house.

I got ran over by a forklift and got less than a million from workers compensation. It certainly was more painful and injured me more than a punch in the face. So yeah I'll take the punch in the face.

I just got stitches in my forehead a couple days ago. After getting hit in the face with steel, what's a punch? A million and hour for instults seems pretty cushy to me too. Sign me up for either of those.

Yeah, I'd go with insults as well. Why would anyone care what a bunch of strangers say about you? In fact, I'd probably jump in there and help them insult me just for the entertainment of it. Unless I get to have my DS, then I'd just block them out and play Sudoku for an hour.
Next would probably be the punch, but only because it's the lesser of a few evils.
Then nothing.
Then Magic, just because I don't like anything altering the way I am.
Then the bomb. I'm a pagan, so damaging the Earth is pretty much like defiling an alter. Unless of course, I got stuck in DC beltway traffic on the day that I needed to make this decision, then I might just choose this one first to wipe out all the assholes around here that need to learn to drive.

Yeah, I think probably Punch, Insults, Nothing, Magic, Bomb. Something about the bomb just gives me the heebies, even after reading the "oh and it doesn't happen for 5000 years" caveat.

Options in order:
Insults - I've dealt with this all my life. No problem.
Punch - I've felt worse pain. This should be nothing.
Nothing - That's about all I'll do.
Magic - I don't like the way I am but I really don't want to become something worse.
Bomb - I would never pick this option. If I want to win money, I'll only involve myself.

Insults - this would probably be somewhat entertaining if the mob could come up with new insults for an hour or painfully boring if it was "yo momma is sooooo fat..." x 10000.
Punch - it's a big fat man, chances are his physical strength is only up to the challenge of transporting food to mouth. Even if not, big deal, I'll heal.
Magic - personality roulette? that'd be quite entertaining especially if it ended up being dramatic enough that you became unrecognizable to people who already know you. Since you'd never know something changed, who cares?
Nothing - where's the fun in that?
Would you only get to ultimately choose one? If multiple, then Bomb & Insults without blinking and probably Punch after thinking about $2 vs. $3 mil for a tick.
