I own Half-Life 2 - I preordered it on Steam to get into the CS:Source Beta.
I own Half-Life 2 - Episode 1, preordered even though I hate the naming scheme!
I now have pre-ordered the "Orange Box". They have successfully resold to me what I previously paid $80 for. Now I feel the shame and the burn.
I now own Half-Life 2 again. I own Episode 2 again.
But now I own what I originally had scheduled a day off for EIGHT YEARS ago. Team Fortress 2.
I know I walk the walk of shame. I just hope I'm not some one night stand for Valve... I just feel so used and the sun is so bright.. I'll be home soon.

Like I said in the other thread, I think of this way:
$30 - TF2
$15 - Ep2
$0 - Portal
And HL1 and Ep1 cost absolutely nothing, and at least in theory, I can give them to someone else.

Alright, I just broke down and pre-ordered it on STEAM. And yes, I own HL2 and EP1 and will probably drop another $50 or so to get this on the 360.

I really think they could have done much better press/buzz wise if they had just included a 2nd option without HL2 or Episode one for 39.99.
I picked up HL2, but none of the other stuff. 360 for me!

Apparently HL2 on the 360 has been upgraded with HDR lighting, improved character models, and other such upgrades that are a part of Episode 2.
Good enough reason for me to replay it there.

I had HL2 for the Xbox. When my 360 came, I sold my Xbox and most of the games. I thought about keeping HL2, since I was half way through it, but then I realized I would have to start over on the 360. So the idea of not only getting a much improved version of HL2 in which to start over, but everything else in the Orange Box as well made it easy to sell it with the rest of my Xbox and stuff. Been waiting for this to drop ever since.
Anyone griping about the price, how much did you expect ot pay for TF2 anyway?

They thought about / announced it. It was called the Black Box. They canceled it back in May, and I never heard an official reason. Most likely to avoid confusion and/or significant reduction in profit margin and hypeability (is that a word?).

I am just not a big fan of multiplayer games anymore. Co-op can be enticing, but gaming against other players has long since lost its allure for me. Thankfully, there are still plenty of single player games coming out (like Bioshock), so I manage to stay entertained. Heck, I have more games than I have time to play them!
Ah, then I'll have to pass on that. Maybe I'll pick it up once they decide to price that content (standalone) at a reasonable level. As it is, I don't really need another game to put in the queue.

I have HL2 only i purchased the orangebox preloaded everything and now EP1 will not launch :\ But other then that the orangebox is the leet! I will prob give away my copy of HL2 to someone...

I see this as a Trail of Privilege. Seeing how my computer can't handle Half Lifes, getting all of this in one package is a bonus!

I only had the original HL 2 on my computer, so I look at this as quite a deal. 360 version for me, since it was chugging on the comp.

I already own HL2 and HL2 EP1.
I caved.
However, after much debate, the fact that I could gift HL2 and EP1 to someone made it easier so it's not a total loss. And I get to play the TF2 beta!
