The one thing that I absolutely love about this movie is that the armor is actual costumes and not just a CGI prop. It just looks so damn good, especially the Mark4 armor. I am definately making this an opening night movie.

Wow, Iron man used to be one of my favorites when I was regularly reading comics but lately, while checking out the "Civil War" line, he looked like a dick. Hopefully this will inject some life into the comics again. It looks really cool. I want one!

I am too old to be optimistic. But I do know that I would pay full price to watch a loop of that last 20 seconds over and over. Happily.
This is looking like a "check comic-freak part of brain at door, be there early Saturday morning, grumble about how it ain't canon afterwards while checking to see when the DVD is coming out" type of film.

I don't know anything about Iron Man, but casting Robert Downey Jr. was inspired.
Everything so far looks like it'll hold up to canon and quality...i can't wait..
Anyone who hasnt seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang needs to run out and check it out... Sad shame that the world decided to watch Wild Hogs or whatever dreck was on during that time instead.

Trailer did look nice, saw it during Daily Show Mon. It said May '08, isn't that a long time from now in terms of movie releases?
Not looking to derail thread, but I just realized that there's a character named Nathan Stark on Eureka and he kinda looks like what one might imagine Tony Stark would look and possibly act like. Also they're both genuises, I think.

I had no idea what movie the trailer was for until about 30 seconds into it, I geeked out for a second and I'm not even an Iron Man fan. That trailer had me hooked in the first 10 seconds.

I now understand where there are two very different Iron Man suits in the trailer. In the ComicCon vid, quality was so bad that I could tell there were 2 suits, I just could not for the life of me figure out why.

I find it interesting that they got Stark so spot on. I'm even a little disappointed that people that might be in the theater to see a CGI robot man fly around (not that there's anything wrong with that) might not catch that they really nailed the hardest part, which is the protagonist's complicated personality.

I don't see how they could go any other way with the casting options. I mean, a drunk for a drunk, how much more spot on can they get?
I'm impressed by how awesome the Mark 4 looks, but the Mark 1, now that looks sweet. I wonder if we'll get to see War Machine as well.
