At 9PM CST I'll create a GamersWithJobs Warhawk server. If there's a password it will be "stan" but we'll most likely leave it open to the public. If you want to get playing earlier, just create a server with the same info and I'll join that. I'd recommend leaving auto team balance OFF so we can easily get GWJers on the same team. If the server is full the host can kick players off. If you're on my PSN friends list and I see you come online, I can boot someone to make room. Even better, if you have me on ICQ, MSN or AIM, I'll keep my IM program running on my laptop and I can make room for you once you're ready to join. Stupid PSN hoop jumping. Get with the times Sony!

Well, what other multiplayer game will everyone be playing on the PS3?

I'll be in. Haven't played the game yet, so I'm sure I'll be at the bottom.

I think I've finally sorted out my headset connection problems and am downloading the game now, so I'm in for tonight.

Hopefully I can get on for a quick half-hour sometime this evening.

Has anybody played Capture The Flag yet? I was wondering if it worked well or not.

Oh I suck pretty bad. I fly Warhawks like I've been drinking heavily, bumping into mountains and friendly aircraft. Thank god I can't take out friendly Warhawks with my poor skills

I didn't RTFM, but is Warhawk open mic? Is there a PTT feature for when my girlfriend comes home and we discuss what we're making for dinner, while I'm fragging?

It's not, mercifully -- otherwise, the people I was playing with when I first got my headset would have just heard me blowing into the mic and muttering, "Test, test." Press L3 to speak.

But now that you mention it, what's for dinner?

I've done a bit of playing today and this game is a blast, I'm really having fun with it. The tilt controls are a bit of a pain when driving a ground vehicle but I'm quickly adjusting to it, and I love using them when flying a Warhawk. Of course just when I think I've gotten the hang of it, I slam into the ground.

I'm trying to register my blue tooth headset that came with Warhawk. Did anyone else have issues doing this? I fully charged it with my PS3, but the system scans forever trying to find it and it doesn't work. My headset continues to blink blue, but it's not reading.

want to be able to chat with you all.

I was having the same problem, I solved it by holding down the power button on my headset as I turned it on and after a few seconds the light stayed steady instead of blinking and then the PS3 could detect it.

I got it to work but how do I actually talk using the headset? Xbox Live was easier than this.

No kidding, everything about online and headsets with the PS3 feels so archaic. I know in game you hit L3 to talk, outside of that I don't know.

I'll try to be there for sure. I'm watching a movie with a couple of friends and I should be able to get on after that.

I just noticed you can make clans in Warhawk, maybe that'll make getting together easier?

I've been hearing that the PS3 has some major problems with voice chat in multiplayer games. Are you guys experiencing any of this with Warhawk?

Lag used to be a lot worse back in the day. Hell, it took Jesus 3 days to respawn.

Yeah. The major problem is that people don't know to hold down L3 to talk.

Other than that, and people not knowing how to set up their Bluetooth headsets? Nope, no problems here. Although it might have to do with correctly setting your router, it's not quite as idiot-proof as Xbox Live.

I think I've decided to download Warhawk today. I'm jonesing to have *something* to play on my new PS3 and maybe Warhawk will motivate me to play online with the goodjers more often. I'll send out friends invites to those on this list. For some annoying reason the only gamertag I could get PSN to accept was "Dirtier". I find it hard to believe "DirtierParsley" or "ParsleyGWJ" were already taken but it insisted I couldn't use those. Annoying.

I had fun until I had to get the wife from the bus station. Apprently, we are supposed to 'talk' after she comes back from a trip.

Hey Certis, if you need a hand adding people, I have a Bluetooth keyboard on my PS3. I don't know if people other than the clan leader can invite but if so, let me know and I'll be happy to help out.

I played for about 3 hours today on a ranked server (there aren't many of them and they're almost always full) and man what a blast. The game hands out medals pretty generously which always made me feel that I didn't have to work too hard to get reward. I haven't ranked up yet but it does seem as though stat updating is a couple of hours behind and the server I was playing on disconnected from the network so I'm not sure where I am now. The only other gripe I have with the game now beyond turret balance is that you can't filter out unranked servers and that many of the official SCEA servers (which appears in blue on the list) are always full, even though many say that they have slots available. All this can be patched though and the game is still a blast in spite of it.

I think it's just a clan leader thing. I wouldn't call the interface or options robust by any stretch.

I'm pretty sure I ran into you last night, sorry I didn't get a chance to say hi, things were blowing up a little too quickly for chatting!

I'm having a blast, from sniping people at great distances to calling down air strikes to just simply stabbing someone, this game can get really hectic at times. I even ranked up last night and scored a bunch of badges and ribbons.

I really hate searching for ranked servers that have open slots, despite the server list saying they're open they're always full and the refresh button doesn't seem to do jack. Overall I really like it, but think it was probably priced about ten bucks too much. Given the limited number of maps I think 30 dollars for the download version would have been much better. And they really need to patch the motion controls in vehicles, give us the option to using it in ground vehicles or not.

Ah the L3 button!
ROFL There I was yapping away wondering why nobody was responding
Weird i didnt see it in the manual.

Last friday I had a lil Warhawk session with mates: playing 4 player splitscreen on a 75" projection TV. w0000t. This game was made for 4 player splitscreen its such a joy! Was a lot of fun. ONly down side is that all the local players have the same nick "Sofar[1], Sofar[2] etc"
But man is it fun.
