WOW - Anyone on Arthas?

Hey guys, I'm thinking about throwing my life away and giving WOW a try. Judging by my past MMO experiences I know it's not going to be a good thing.
Anyways, I know the main GWJ guilds are on Baelgun and Blackhand but some friends of mine are on the US server Arthas and I was wondering if any GWJers are on it. Or is it possible to transfer between servers?

You can transfer from Arthas to just about any server for $25 if the character is at least Level 10, but you can only transfer back to a PvP server such as Arthas from another PvP server.
The GWJ guilds are on PvE servers.

hmmm... why the choice of a PvE server over a PvP server? Less hassle and dumb asses?

Don't honestly know the reasoning....I don't think it was a decision of one over the other. The GWJ Alliance guild on Blackhand has been around since day 1 and is going very strong right now. I you do want to transfer, just do a who GWJ and there are ALWAYS toons on to inv you. Loads of fun and a great bunch of active people....you can judge by the forum postings I guess.
The key to victory is to not suck as bad as the other side.
The main difference between a PvP and PvE server is the "world PvP". (aka world ganking)
I guess the logic here is that you're always free to go to a PvE server, but before you can gank lowbies on a PvP server, you have to "pay your dues" first.

That's indeed the case. As to the whole ganking thing, I discovered long ago that I have no patience at all in dealing with it. So I play PvE only. GWJ Alliance is well worth spending some time with, too
