Help me crack a battlefield 2142 conundrum

I bought 2142 yesterday, and I keep getting this problem on every server I play on: I keep getting "Theres a problem with your internet correction" every 15 seconds and stops me for about 5 seconds(think lag spike). I do have the minimum requirements, and then some. The only thing I don't have is for the recommended is the 1.5 ram. I have 768 in there right now.
Could it be my external wireless card? Also, does anyone else suffer from this problem?

It very well could be your wi-fi connection. It doesn't sound like a ram problem.
The "problem with your connection" is the message the game gives you after certain punkbuster kicks. If you could get a friend to watch the text when you get booted, you might get a hint as to what the real problem might be.
In my case its usually the "duplicat GUID key" or some such, and I have to apply the fix weekly.

I'm not getting booted from the server, its just that I get a lag spike every 15 seconds and thats the message that comes up.

I tried the punkbuster thing, didn't work. I think it might be my firewall popping up in the back and messing me up, but I can't actually get on the internet on my home computer until later.
