Liongames pre-orders

Has anyone pre-ordered a game (something that's been released) from Liongames?
They've got some really great pre-order deals for Bioshock, Mass Effect and GTA IV, but I want to make sure that A) no one has had any major problems ordering from them, and B) that pre-orders arrive in a timely manner. I don't want to have to wait too long to play any of those games!
I have pre-ordered with them, and infact I pre-ordered all of those titles. If you have any concerns you can just e-mail the owner (I think it's info@liongames.com) as he's very sociable and sometimes even posts on this board. Also note that Liongames.com is the podcast's official sponsor.
As Tony will tell you, the speed at which he can get you an item is dependent entirely upon street date and how quickly his supplier gets him his stuff. Less popular games have nebulous street dates that can cause some problems, but big titles like the aforementioned are fairly certain and in the past Liongames has been great about getting stuff to me quickly. I don't think getting the games on day 1 is guaranteed or anything but you should get them within a few days of release.

I preordered Crackdown and was nothing but pleased with Tony's pricing and customer service. The game came out on a Tuesday and I received it on the West Coast on Friday.

I had never pre-ordered anything until today. The $20 discount on Bioshock was too compelling.

Yep - that's one of the big reasons I want to try them out. I think I'll give it a shot. It's not like I don't have anything else to play while I wait a couple of days for a game. $20 discount is just way too compelling.
I really like the business model for used games, too - I'm really tired of Gamestop and EB trying to charge $44.99 for a used copy of a $49.99 game... such a rip off.

I pre-ordered Crackdown and received it on a Wed. or Thursday, plus the customer service has been great. Definitely happy with my purchase.

A lot of us order Guitar Hero for the 360 through Liongames, didn't have any issues with it. Even with the shipping it still worked out to be cheaper than buyign it locally.

I know this is like asking a magician how he does his tricks but how the hell is this guy selling so many new games at discounted rates? Do you think he's still making a profit with $20 discounts on Bioshock?
I just put Bioshock, GTA IV, Assassin's Creed, and HL2: Orange Box and the total before shipping was $180. Sweet!

Funny thing is he gives much better compensation for a trade-in than an EBgames or a Gamestop. I think he might just be cutting out some of the middle men and selling for a sustainable profit rather than maximum profits. He tells me he's been in the video business for some 20 years now so I guess he's doing something right.

I believe he posted that his marketing budget is used for discounting games instead of advertisements. Word of mouth for good prices got him my business.

I came to the forum today specifically looking for a thread about The Pride... of the gaming jungle!
I just preordered Bioshock, GTA 4, and Mass Effect, for a total of $143 including shipping. I saved $40 and all the hassle of trying to get the games before they sold out at my local retailers. Awesome.
Thanks a lot GWJ for turning me on to this site. What really made me go and check them out was Certis on the last podcast saying that even though they are the sponser, that it really was a great site for deals. I'm impressed. I may do all my gaming business through them from now on. Well, I can't do it all, because I notice they don't do PSP, DS, and older systems like PSX. Guess I can still use Amazon for those.
FYI, Tony's ending his special pre-order pricing on Halo 3, GTA, Mass Effect, and Bioshock on Wednesday, so if you've been holding out, now's the time to get in.

For the record, I just picked up Bioshock from the site. I was tempted to go for GTA IV, Assassin's Creed, and HL2 Orange but I'm still up in the air about which consoles I want to play these on. All in all the transaction was fine and now I'd like to see if the $6.50 for USPS Priority (2-3 days) actually holds up.

Today is the last day to decide on the deal, I may go for Bioshock because I know Gamefly and Gameznflix can't get them out anytime soon. And when I start reading message boards about how cool this or that is in Bioshock I will be going crazy wanting to play.

It's bad timing for me, that weekend is PAX, and the game would come while i was away, meaning i'd have to wait almost a week. Way too long. I'll likely get it at my local EB, darnit.
With those deals, though, i'll be doing GTA and Assassin's Creed through them, for sure.

I just pre-ordered Bioshock through Liongames (yes, I know I missed the good deal)...But thing is, I don't even own a 360. I figure having a game show up at my doorstep that I'm desperate to play will be motivation enough
All in all though, his prices and selection seems fantastic. I'll look forward to doing a lot more business there assuming this order works out fine.
