The opening to that trailer is ridiculous even for the fantastic conventions of the Star Wars Universe.

I miss the humble portrayal of the force from Star Wars: A New Hope.

Did anyone catch the interview after the trailer? I think it is interesting to have GL that involved. The stories from the various games, I think, are told in general much better then the Ep I-III were and its a shame that GL and his crew did not involve some of the other storytelling talent in the movies. Hopefully the shows will be more collaborative.

There are two kinds of men in the world, those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig.

I dont see why you would have a problem with this, its set at a point where the force is supposed to be at its peak of power so it would make sense that the wielders especially the gifted ones would be able to utterly obliterate things...plus you're playing a sith which doesnt call for restraint in any regard.

Simply put this game looks amazing, the physics system with all the glass breaking into tiny shards and wood splintering looks astounding, and the fact that each digital character has a separate "nervous system" will make the AI very life like. I for one cant wait for this game to come out as it is supposed to be a bridge between episode 3 to 4 and is actually being actively developed by george lucas.

Good ol Yoda seemed quite strained just to lift that Xwing out of the swamp. I just think its overboard to see a Sith pull down an entire Star Destroyer. It's all fiction, there's no rules, so I dont care overly much. It just seems like an example of bigger, better, flashier at the cost of what made the series endearing in the beginning.

It's just my opinion, I'm glad to see the excitement over the game though. The physics, engine and animation advances shown are very cool.

It's easier to knock something out of the sky than to lift something out of the muck.

Yeah I get what you're saying...yoda pretty much always seemed strained to lift heavy things, maybe he just wasnt good at that lol

Also since we never really saw the characters face maybe he was having a hernia or something and we just never got wind of it.

Yeah I realize that it could def be problematic, but as long as he doesn't throw an annoying alien creature in there I'd say the story and more importantly the gameplay are shaping up nicely.

He's had input in the games from the very begging, going all the way back to Rescue on Fractalus (the alien trying to sneak on your ship; that was his idea). He doesn't write the scripts or directs the cutscenes.

This was my thought too. The era the game is set it, prior to Ep IV when the newly born Empire was still trying to eradicate the Jedi was a time when the Force was still used heavily and to great extents. However, the point on Sith is probably more salient in this context. They were never, and have never been shy about using and abusing their powers. Reference Vader choking his Flag staff, as well as Lord Palpatine attempting to electrocute Luke. Comparing a Sith apprentice to Yoda seems like comparing apples and oranges in my book.

That was exactly the thought running through my head the entire time. I ache bad for a new Jedi game (or Sith in this instance), and I just hope it will be a good one.

I also wonder if they can manage a good MP game around it that keeps me interested a bit longer then the other games.

I can say without a doubt that this game will look amazing...I just hope the story line will live up to what I hope for. I mean who doesn't want to know how all the jedi in the galaxy were hunted down and slaughtered, and on top of that it might have little details like why the empire changed armor for their troops, little cool stuff that, while not earth shattering to the storyline, will be cool to learn about. Also have to wonder what happens to your guy in the end since obviously he wasn't in "A New Hope"...or was he? So many possibilites lol.

If this thing goes Online, everyone is gunna use the *gravity gun* effect with the force... not so much the lightning attack... even fewer saber vs saber matches too. Gawd this is gunna be something those guys in Lucas Arts need to think about.

I would, but I know that the only console my wife would even consider picking up would be a Wii, so I'd still be out of luck.

And while we actually have 2 DS's, I just don't see this game being all that great on it for some reason. I could easily be wrong, I just doubt it.

This might be a dumb question, but why is a Sith fighting against the Empire, especially if this is set between Episode 3 and 4? I get manhandling the troops a bit, but slaying whole squads and wrecking countless TIE fighters? KDY must be making a killing!

There's a developer interview floating around where the Lead Dev implies that the player is Darth Vader's secret apprentice and that the Emperor does not know of his existence. Maybe the player is a little insurrection monkey wrench that Vader is shaping to take over the Empire. Or maybe it's like the movie "Trading Places" and the Emperor and Vader are betting wether or not the apprentice can survive as an up and coming Sith Lord. Or maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about...

And a big BOO for not loving the PC. I hope this game is gonna suck SO hard.
