Game Boy Micro
Thursday, July 12th, 2007 - 10:35am
Does anyone have one of the Game Boy Micro's that could give some advice before I purchase one? I have found one locally at a pretty good price, but didn't know if they were any good compared to the SP. I am looking for something small and cheap that I can use to waste away my lunch hour.

This should probably go in the Trading Post thread.

Unless you are a gelfling or a Nelwynn it'll be too small for you. DS lite is more bang for your buck. By like A LOT. If you're hard pressed for cash though I'd still reccomend the SP over the micro.
You can't do this!
Of course I can, I'm Will Wright, bitch! - The Simpsons Game

I agree that the DS is the smarter buy over the micro, but I'm not a huge fan of how the GBA games feel on the DS. If you are looking to play GBA games exclusively, I can vouch for the micro's quality. I'm not a small lad (6'3"), but I found it comfortable, and I loved how easily the tiny thing slipped into a pocket. I also liked the screen -- because it's so small, the picture looks very crisp and clear. And the brightness is impressive; it's comparable to the brightness available on the DS. And finally, it's a cute little piece of hardware.
I saw a dude playing one the other day.
That thing is TINY. Like, the screen is the size of the dot at the end of this sentence .
Then again, the guy before me says they're ok.
I'd try playing one first before I was sure of buying one.

I have one, but only because I bought it with Mother 3 and it's beautiful with its custom paint and faceplate.
Unless you are a collector though, shell out the extra cash and get a DS Lite.
Yet even then we ran like the wind,
whilst our laughter echoed under cerulean skies...
I did bite the bullet this weekend, and picked up a DS Lite. It's a pretty slick system, and I am really enjoying it.
Thanks for all the advice!
