The first half was singleplayer mode. The second half was multiplayer (Annex) on new maps it seems.
Acts 6 - 10 + new maps? I want!

I always wondered why we didn't get to fight one of the giant cannon toting monsters. Looks like we may finally get our chance.

Voodoo Extreme is saying that this is footage from the upcoming PC version and that the Gametrailers video got out early. I hope that if that is the case we at least get this stuff on the 360 since I'm willing to bet the PC version is going to be Vista only.

I thought I heard something about them showing off the PC version. The video has been taken down, but it seems likely that's what this would be. I doubt they'd want to shift attention to a Gears expansion while they're trying to get people excited for UT.
Here's the leaked video on youtube since destructiod got a big fat cease and decist from Epic.

Even if this is from the PC version, I can't imagine them screwing the 360 users and not giving them DLC of this stuff.

I read about the PC stuff... Then I wondered when PCs came equipped with big, green "A" buttons.
There's no way they're going to give the PC gamers a fight with the Brumak and leave the 360ers hanging like that. That would seriously be f*cked up.
EDIT:
Before anyone says it, I know 360 controllers can connect to PCs thankyouverymuch.

Wouldn't be the first console port though where the references to the original controllers were left intact...
At 00:23, the player gets an achievement/friend online notice but the pop up is rectangular. I'm not sure what Windows Live looks like but others are stating that is what achievements look like on the PC.
The only concern I have is whether or not 360 owners will get that new content. I guess we'll find out when Epic finally talks about it. *fingers crossed*
XBL / Art / Blog (09/20) / Buy! (10/07)
Agreed. Epic isn't the type of company who would do that. I'd say it's a really safe bet this content will make it to the 360 in one fashion or another.
Also, I don't know if it's programmed that way or what, but the Transformers PC game (awful, stay far far away from it) shows all the buttons as they would appear on the 360 if you're using one to play the game. I don't know if it is a case of a game company not changing the instructions from console to PC ala Star Trek Legacy or if games can recognize a 360 controller and change everything appropriately now.

$20 says this will be Vista only on the PC

But will it allow PC players to play 360 players? That would be the killer app to get me on a live account. Well, after I bought a computer with Vista on it, anyway.
Well if there is new content I would bet my &#@ %$# that it will be on the 360. MS never miss a dollar to be made! Yes, MS is in control, not EPIC!

Pretty sure MS rules are that you can't charge for content that's available on another platform free of charge. That's the word on the R6 Black DLC and why it went free. It's available on the PS3 version on the disc. If that's the case, if this ships on the PC disc, it'll be free for 360 users.

well if thats the case.. it would be awesome... but I just want it to be on xbox none the less.... we all had a part in making gears what it is today.. and it would be sh!tty if we didnt get a chance to play the new content

I'm not buying Vista for this. =/

I'd like to approch this a bit diffrently...
Lets just suppose this new stuff will be for both vista and 360 (for the sake of this argument)...
Are they gonna link the 2 like (eek) shadowrun?

Just food for thought. Still not sold on the cross platform of shotters.

I can tell you from my experience with Shadowrun on PC that this is indeed PC footage. That achievement notice is exactly how they look. Unfortunately, that also confirms that the PC version will be Vista only as from what I know, you can't implement Live on anything but Vista. I heard there was supposed to be some exclusive content in the PC version but I hope that it isn't a huge chunk of new single-player or that it at least becomes DLC after a few months. I'm definitely not buying this game twice.

I think mouse/keyboard will dominate, and dominate fast. Those mother'ephers who play PC FPS with super mice rock the fat ass.

Sega has announced that Universe at War: Earth Assault will support GFW Live - even crossplay with the 360 version. Sega as well as Petroglyph (developer) also stated that the game is supposed to work under Win XP, too.
They mentioned this on GFW Radio but Petroglyph apparently won't confirm if the Live functionality works under XP or if you can only use standard server browsing between PCs on XP.

They won't?
I won't be buying a new system or (ewww) installing VISTA on my current system to play expanded content.

Cool, as of the GFW Radio I listened to, Petroglyph was refusing to comment on that. If it's true then that's a very significant step and that means maybe we will see Gears on XP. I really hope that's true. Now we just need DX10 but that's probably asking a bit too much.

I'd hazard a guess and say if Vista and new PC sales aren't very strong this holiday season, Microsoft will soften on the "DX10 on Vista only" at the beginning of 2008.

I'd hazard a guess and say that after seeing that footage, the rest of the office heard the *bonk* on the underside of my desk. There's no way new footage doesn't make it to the 360.

Let's be honest. The last time anything around you went *bonk* was on a Turbo Grafx 16, and it was quite an adventure.
That being said, I think you're right that it will end up on the 360. I just hope it's free.
Xbox Live | Steam | Last.fm
I hope it's free too, but even if it wasn't....it's freaking Gears of War. I'd probably just hand them my wallet and tell them to take what they wanted.
