Unexpected News * update*
Tuesday, June 19th, 2007 - 8:45pm
I don't have Robears password to update the original thread, please forgive me
Rocub is fine. Surgery went well and he is in recovery with Ro at his side. ( he wanted Dad after and Mom before)
If all goes well, he will be home tomorrow for a long summer of not being allowed to do much to protect the joint while it heals.

That's fantastic news. My congratulations to you all.

Wonderful news! Sounds like a summer of ice cream and video games
We shall grapple with the ineffable, and see if we may not eff it after all.
Somebody break my hip, please.
Seriously, great news, best wishes for a speedy recovery

Cool, kids are made of rubber, he'll be allright. In fact I'd wager you can punch him right about now and he'll hardly feel a thing! They're malleable.
Maybe if you were a hot babe...

Huh, turns out I *was* holding my breath. Thanks for letting us know and I'm very happy everything went so well. He's going to have a seriously nice coolness factor now amongst other boys. Scars. Bolt in the Leg. Very cool stuff.
Glad to hear everything is A-OK with the kid! May I recommend picking up a copy of Boktai for him? If he's going to be sedentary playing games all summer at least he'll have one he has to play in the sun

Robear/kiri, if you folks need video games to keep the kid entertained, I'd be happy to send you some of my older ones. They just clutter the place up anyway.
I'd send this in IM, but I think probably lots of people here will have lots of games they're not playing, so we can probably keep Rocub very happy for the next few months.
Hey Malor, thanks for the offer. We are however awash in video games as a normal state of existence (as HP will attest) so we are good. He earned a copy of 2142 with his last few weeks of school, so you might even see him online Wed nights. I also found several seasons of the Simpsons and Futurama really cheap for Father's Day, so that turned out to be a better-than-impulse buy. A warp buy, you might say.
We are greatly appreciative for all the good vibes and wishes and such. This is a wonderful community.
