He looks... just goofy. It's hard to make a judgment just on one photo though.

He looks too nice, though it'd be better to judge a pic of him in character instead of him smiling for a shot with the girl next to him.
Hmm...JoeB is right. Hard to judge but I can picture him looking pretty much like Agent 47.

He needs to beef up. Not that 47 is a muscle-bound character but at the same time, the emaciated punk-rocker he is not.

The photo is goofy, but as it's been pointed out he's not in character. I'm still up in the air about whether the scowl he perptually has on Deadwood is really going to make him look tough in a suit and tie versus with the long hair, mustache, guns slung low on his belt. I suppose it might work, though. I've seen enough strange castings that seem ridiculous when you hear about them and then they actually work in the movies to give him the benefit of the doubt. I'm anxiously awaiting the trailer to see how it looks.
Mr T broke the speed of light in the A-Team van because he wanted to prove that quantum physics was a bunch of Jibba Jabba.
Jason Statham would be perfect 47.

Timothy O. has a way of playing those ethically shady roles that should carry over quite nicely.
Well, Cooking Mama didn't help me become a better cook, and Trauma Center certainly didn't help me become a better surgeon. I have the proof of both sitting in my freezer. -- imbiginjapan
I agree. His character in the Transporter reminded me a lot of Agent 47 and I was really hoping he'd get the nod for this part.

Maybe if they had a shot of the barcode, it'd help, but for the moment he looks like a Wall Street day-trader that lost a bet.

Emaciated punk-rocker? I just don't see that. At all.
This is emaciated:

See, no, Iggy may be emaciated, but he's superman-emaciated.

I think if I had a barcode on my head, I'd either grow my hair out or get a hat.
Well if anything, his eyebrows are dead on.

Well, my expectations for this movie are dirt-low anyway, so this isn't as much of an issue. I still hold out hope that it may yet surprise me.
And while Statham would've been good for the role, I think too many people would've gotten it confused with "Transporter III", which, if he got it, it might as well have been.

The tie and the suit look a little off.. Why am I angry that the tie looks off?
Well, I don't like to toot my own horn, but I'm a pretty good amateur rectal photographer. Would you like to see my portfolio?

Yea, Agent 47's tie is solid red.
As to why you'd be irritated Desram, it's because it's such a simple, easy detail to not screw up.
