Post a news story, entertain me!

The proposed Triassic kraken, which could have been the most intelligent invertebrate ever, arranged the vertebral discs in biserial patterns, with individual pieces nesting in a fitted fashion as if they were part of a puzzle.

If it really did that it would make it one of the top ten smartest animals, let alone invertebrates. It seems pretty unbelievable, although I have heard a lot of evidence and anecdotes about how smart squid are.

That would be astoundingly cool, but drawing that kind of conclusion from a single fossil site is an incredible long shot.

There's an idea in there for a good story and five bad horror movies. The story was called 'The Call of Cthulhu.'

Bet it hurt like hell.

The armadillo was already dead so it didn't feel a thing.

I'm right up there with everything but

Spoiler:

Bioshock. Really, is this on par with Mario, much less Tetris?

I agree with your disagreement. The comment that appears first - beat Mike Tyson in Punch-Out! - deserves to be on the list way more than "play BioShock."

Challenge-oriented gaming is sort of a relic these days. Seems like a weird article.

Chick-fil-a donated more than 2 million to anti-gay groups in 2009

What the c*ck? Over 2 million? To stop what? People being happy?

I've never eaten at Chick-fil-A. Obviously now I never will

no. nononononono.

their chicken is so deliciously bigoted.

Thieves crash their car into a delivery truck, throw tear-gas grenades at the driver and steal the delivery.

The truck was delivering copies of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

No, that isn't a scenario from the game. That's actually what happened.

Yeah Chick-Fil-A is super duper conservative It always pissed me off that I couldn't buy chicken on Sunday. Then I found out why they were closed and stopped going altogether. I really really don't like the company's point of view, but their chicken and milkshakes are unbelievable... Sigh.

Well, maybe if a bunch of frat boys got drunk enough and—

I get not wanting to support the organizations that they donate to, but that sounds like not going to the Jewish deli ever because they are closed on Saturday in for Shabbat.

Well, more like not going to a specific Jewish deli because they've donated millions of dollars to anti-gay groups.

Except he specifically said he stopped going only because they're closed on Sundays.

Me, I stopped going because they did not honor a special receipt deal that had no expiration date on it. Their donations just make me feel better about that decision.

It's an ambiguous sentence. I read it as anger at the causes supported by the company, but it could go either way.

Regardless of our various views on religion, I think we can all agree that donating money to homophobic groups is more than enough reason to stop patronizing an establishment.

I was fooled by the story, due to Poe's Law, and because really, that's exactly the kind of thing Pat Robertson would say.
