I suggest you get on and get into the game you want to play. See who joins. If anyone wants to split the event into two parts, or has other ideas, let me know. This is an event for both European and North American GWJs, hence the length. From experience, the Europeans will play from around 21:00 to 00:00 and the North Americans will get on at about 01:30 GMT and play until the end of the event. Of course anyone can join at any time. I suggest North American GWJs discuss when to meet in this thread. [b]Games[/b] Crimson Skies is a dogfighting game for the original Xbox. It's compatible with the 360. Up to 16 people can play together. Voice chat is a little fuzzy, but not too bad. The game is about £2 on eBay, so probably less than $10 in shops. Shadowrun is a multiplayer-only FPS involving Counter Strike-style gunplay with magic and 'tech' abilities. It's about £32 in the UK and $50 in the US from Liongames. (Never used them myself.) Official description: http://shadowrun.com/gameguides/ [b]Notes on Crimson Skies[/b] You'll need an update to play and to download the 'new' maps and planes from the multiplayer menu. The list of maps is shown in a small box. The box scrolls, but doesn't have any arrows / scroll bars. When you think you've downloaded everything, use the Xbox thumbstick to try to scroll down, just to make sure. When I updated the game, my Xbox hung. No red lights, just processing. I waited a few minutes and restarted it. Everything was fine. You may have trouble downloading Badlands. Just keep trying. After you've finished downloading new planes and maps , you may not be able to get back to the main game screen. Don't worry -- just rest the Xbox and you'll be fine. Of course that was my experience, so yours may not have to do any restarts at all. [i]You have to be logged into logged Xbox Live *through Crimson Skies'* multiplayer menu to see who's online.[/i] This is very important. If you are in the single-player game, you can't see us online and we can't see you. Remember that this is an Xbox-1 game, so you won't be able to use the system blades to sort through your friends list. You can use the friends options in game to see who is on and send them invites / messages. When you finish a round, you're take to a post-game screen showing the scores where you can discuss the match. You press 'A' to leave this screen. As far as I can tell, if you press 'A' before the host does, then you won't be taken back into the lobby ready for the next game -- you'll have to find the host and join them or wait for an invite. To find the host, press X and look for his/her name in the friends menu. Select their name and choose the option to join them. AFAIK, they host must have left the post-match room for you to be able to do this.
