LOTRO: Kinship Crafters
Wanted to start this thread so kinship would know what is up with our crafters.
Gimmi my main guy can make up to level 24 heavy armor. He is a bit behind in medium armor but can also make up to level 10 medium armor (hoping to up this soon).
If people need armor made of any type let me know and I will see what I can do.
What I need if you get any of these are tailor recipes, espeically medium armor, forge-crafted recipes, and tool recipes.
As for supplies I need medium hides and iron ore/ignots.
Thanks to Akunin and Dahc I am fairly set for heavy armor recipes of the Bronze and Heavy Iron types.
I also have a historian Amthir that can make some dyes and some scrolls. He is always in need of tablets pieces, scraps of text, dye materials, recipes and so on.
If you need gold or sienna dye made I can currently do that but the materials that you must purchase per item makes my cost at least 5sp per dye. This does not include the materials that have to be gathered like sienna or yarrow roots.
A historian can also make weapons but can not prospect. I not worked on his weapon craft much but he needs a lot of bronze ignots to get any where. I am hoping to work on his weapon crafting soon so if you need any weapons let me know and can see what I can do also.

I've got a historian, but am having real trouble finding components.

Mmmm, heavy armor. If you need a tester I'll gladly check it's dent resistance qualities.

We might list character names, professions, and what we need. The way Turbine set it up, each profession relies much more heavily on the others than in other MMOs.
Montalas - Tinkerer - Can make jewelry and food (don't laugh) - Needs jewelry and food recipes, and appreciates donations of foodstuffs.

Torga, my main, is a guardian with forester. By launch I will have cranked his forester stuff as high as I can, although farming is abit of an iffy proposition at the moment. He doesn't need much other than wood and hides to boil and finish. After the cap release, he'll need heavy armor pretty soon, although someone here set me up already with round 1.
Torgin, my second, is a minstril and an un-named crafter. If nobody seems to want cooking, I think I'll do that, as I think I've been underestimating how good food buffs can be.

Sent you a full set of heavy armor minus helm (since class quest gives you a much better helm) blus a good heavy shield.
Check your mail for the delivery.
That was me and if you can funnel boiled medium hides to me I can make you a set of level 18 heavy armor and I can also do level 21 heavy armor.
My level 24 heavy armor needs thick hides I think but if you get me some boiled medium hides (need a couple per armor peice) I can make you the next level up armor too.
Spynavius is now a level 15 Man Champion
and I could use a set of Heavy Armor as well. Since you are doing armor I will switch my crafting specialty to something else - any suggestions? Let me know what you need I have some copper and other odds and ends lying around - I havent focused too much on crafting. You can switch crafting professions correct? Any suggestions on what the Kinship might need if I change my specialty?

Spy I believe you can not wear heavy armor till 20 is that correct?
If so you will want my level 18 armor but you may want to just have me make the level 21 armor as 1 level might be worth the wait.
To make both the level 18 and 21 stuff I need medium hides (about 30 for a set of armor) and barrow-iron ore. The Iron Ore is not much of an issue for me to get as I get a bunch of that it is the medium hides that are the pain.
The best place to get medium hides for our level is killing wolves in the old-forest or in northern/eastern Bree fields.
If you can help gather those materials I can make you a set of iron armor that can be equpied at either 21 or 18 depending on what you want me to make.
As for what to work on for crafting really up to you as I do not know what we have in the Kinship in the form of active crafters. I know myself as an Armorer and Dahc as a Tinkerer are active and pushing our crafting levels up but not sure on others.
Maybe a weaponsmith or a historian would be good but it takes a bit of time to get to the higher levels of crafting so sort of have to decide if you want to just get supplies (then explorer is best) or if you want to make something.
If I can get enough bronze ignots(coper/tin ore), iron ignots/ore, and medium hides I can keep making armor and even weapons for the kinship just is hard to get all the materials to advance it all to high levels.
Ahh I see - someone told me 15 for Champs, but if that is the case never mind for now. I may take on the Explorer role and just feed the rest of the crafters. I just got my one fellow to 15, but I have a Hunter I have been messing around with. What location "Shire", "Bree" etc... is most of the guild "basing" out of?

Bree will remain the main hub for everyone up to around level 30+ or so. I always have my map home set to the waymarker right out side of the Prancing Pony.

Then Bree it is - now that my champ reached 15 I cant gain any more XP right? What have most of the level 15 folks been doing? Have you been working crafting or leveling up ALTs? I havent seen to many folks on - when do most folks play - timeframe wise?

My main is a forester and I can make ash stuff (journeyman woodworker). I haven't even messed with farming. Is it worth checking out?
I am on every night basically from about 8 to 11/12ish pm est.
I done about every class deed, I done the Human and Dwarf Prologues, and completed various deeds on my main. I completed several quests here and there that are just waiting to be turned in when the game goes live. In addition I am constantly harvesting materials for crafting and I open up horse routes as I gather materials further and further out (I am harvesting Rich Iron now in addition to medium hides and barrow-iron).
I do have 2 alts both about level 8 but they are mainly crafters at the moment but Gimmi gets the lion share of the time and it is mainly used to get further and further along in crafting.
I two main characters are:
Arathal - Tinkerer (Jewlery, Mining, Cooking)
Amako - Historian (Scholar, Arms, Farming)
Can't say much regarding farming. I could see how you could use it to help pump out veggies for cooks to use, but at the moment it's not very interesting. I've got it up to expert level at the moment I believe.

My Historian, Amthir (level 15 burglar) is now working on master apprentice at weaponsmith and scholar.
Still need bronze ignots and aged scraps of paper to master apprentice so if you can spare any. Also if you need somthing made let me know.
Quick Follow up my historian mastered apprentice tonight so do not need T1 items other then Sienna and Yarrow just to make dyes.
Thanks to people who sent me materials.
If you want potions or dyes made (I can do the lesser potions and gold, sienna, olive dyes) let me know. I will need help getting materials but other then that will do free of charge. I still have a bit to go in weaponsmith but I can do iron weapons which basically are ok to get at level 10 but are quickly replaced.
Of course Gimmi can make up to level 24 armor also if somebody needs something in that department.
For the crafters who need to buy crafting components such as Coal and Wax, prices are half off at the Bree Town Hall, for example Wax which cost 48c elsewhere is 24 c in the town hall.

This a limited time sale or something? I'll have to stock up.

A call to all prospectors, I need any gold you find
Need lots of gold ingots, working on mastering tier 3 jeweler. Also, if anyone needs a ring or necklace made, just send a tell, I will let you know what I can make and what it takes to make it. All for free of course, just need help with materials if possible.
Dahc
I just got my Weaponsmith started so I can use any wood or metals you can spare. I have a scholar as well, but I started an Elven Champion and am having a good time with him for now.

I am desperate for sturdy hides so if you send me sturdy hides I will be your friend.
Quick update.
I know longer need Rich Iron to advance my skill.
I now need Dwarf Iron and I still need sturdy hides.
I have a character that's also working his way up the Jewelry tree. So any spare silver and gems that aren't going to Dahc is much appreciated. That character is Halvard.
"Listen," he said. "Poor people sweat. Rich people perspire. Me? I'm just cool. I defrost."

I am trying to get my master in Journeyman and expert weaponsmith and need items in order to do that. I need sturdy hides mostly. At this point I can make level 18 weapons and if I can find the sturdy hides I can make up to level 27 and 30 weapons. Oh, sapphires are a necessity as well.
I am Allgood btw.
Montalas is done with amethysts and agate, so send those to the other jewelers if you aren't already.
He still needs opals, bloodstones, rubies, sapphires and any extra silver or gold ore you have lying around. And any barrow treasures you have on hand can increase his critical success chances. He's also an expert in the culinary arts but that profession is currently in need of some serious overhaul.

ok, finally mastered tier 3 jeweler which is gold. So dont need anymore gold unless you need something made. Can actually make a few nice items if i crit. So if you looking for some jewelry give me a shout and i will let you know stats on stuff i can make and what i need to make it.
Now I need things such as platinum and adamintite(sp?) to work on getting next tier lvled up.
Dahc
OK Gimmi is about done with sturdy hides. I need a few more to finish mastering the tier but I should be able to get them in a reasonable amount of time during my normal adventuring.
I need dwarf-iron and pristine hides now.
Thanks everybody who had been sending me materials I appreciate it and I can now craft up to level 35 armor (of all types), tools, and a few odds and ends. If you need something let me know and if I have materials on hand will make it otherwise may ask for help getting the materials (since hard to keep enough in stock with small bank space).
