You play it sideways, Brain Age style? Weird.

Is this turn based or something? How the hell else are you supposed to play it sideways? Grow a third arm?

Almost everything is control with the stylus. To shoot shurikens you tap at enemies.

I was hoping for a port of the first three games. that would make me happy.

Team Ninja didn't do the first three.

The stylus games are alright if you are playing at a table. I find them really irritating to play while my hands are suspended.

I don't want to rain on this parade too much, but...

and

don't look all that good. I guess I get giddy over different games.

Looks good for a DS game

What DS games are you playing that you consider good looking? I'd definitely want to check out anything that makes NG look bad in comparison.

My days of not taking you seriously have certainly come to a middle.

Spore DS
I think I was just being mean. Most of the games I've been playing are more 2D and brightly colored...the screenshots above look washed-out and the monsters really polygonal. I'll go away now.

A port of... the Ninja Gaiden Xbox game? or the NES games?

Because if you meant the NES games, with those awesome 8bit graphics, why that'd sell like 20 copies

A remake would be interesting... But this is the new century, and that's what Ryu Hayabusa looks like.

I'm looking forward to it.

I'd buy 2, so 21 copies.

This game looks like some of the best 3D seen on the DS, up there with Metroid Hunters and Nanostray.

Just thought I'd update this thread with the fact that this game is currently my favorite DS title.

It's got the following:

  • flawless, high-budget PSP-like presentation
  • perfect utilization of second screen as functional, understandable map
  • (simple) gesture recognition that actually works, and is intuitive - slashing through an enemy (or enemies) can be done in several ways, with various timing and positioning and they all feel satisfying. You can also do things such as jump, freeze in the air for a moment, throw a bunch of shurikens and then land, as well as summon uber-destructive "magical ninja power spells".
  • amazing engine featuring near-photorealistic scrolling 2D backdrops, some mildly animated, seamlessly mixed with 3D enemies at what looks like 60fps

Being a portable ninja never felt this good.

Shelter 1-minute atmospheric teaser.
