Are you ready to rock?! And by 'rock', I mean rebuy a game you've already got on another system just so you can have a few extra songs, updated visuals, gamer achievements and the potential for downloading new songs in the future? Because, I certainly am!
I know many of you won't understand the impulse to buy basically the same game twice, particularly when that game costs some $90 -- almost as much as a Playstation 2 alone -- and I don't necessarily claim that the impulse to get Guitar Hero 2 for the 360 is entirely sane, but I must have it the way I must have caffeine in the morning or tacos from Chipotle on Friday nights. No game to date has really enticed me to notice the achievements occasionally offered like some kind of Scooby snack for performing a new trick, but GH2's list of achievements appeals to me on fundamental levels. Despite its occasionally imperfect playlist, Guitar Hero 2 ranks as one of my all-time favorite games, and I'm pretty sure I'd be buying it if they had a verson for my cell phone. Game of the Week!
A forgettable week on the DVD front, unless you happen to be a fan of HBO's Entourage which brings the first part of Season 3 to shelves on Tuesday. The largely empty list here.

I just bought GH2 for PS2 on e-bay. A real steal, too: 45 euro second hand from christmas instead of 75 euro in the shops :rock:
After all the raving about the game on this site, I just can't wait to geek rock it out!

I rewarded myself this weekend by buying a used PS2 and Guitar Hero II, after an exhausting house move. Instead of unpacking, I'm now spending my time in the garage sitting on a cardboard box strumming away in front of the spare TV. Damn good game, made me break my "I'll never buy a console system again" vow.

I am so sorely tempted to get GH2 at Circuit City.
1600 MS points included, and a $15 off $100 cupon means they're practically giving it away. Right?
Oh, and Dawnspire, AKA Guild Wars alpha stage, from 3 years ago. I don't know that I've ever seen a more blatant game knockoff, and it makes me appreciate all the updates that Arena Net has put into their game.

Its highly unlikely that I will have a 360 until I start seeing them in the used bin at the GameStop. One console will be enough for the Barbarian for the time being methinks. Seeing as I'm barely past Shout at the Devil, I think I have all the rockiness I need right now.
