My wife is the one that get's into cutting songs and such onto CD's/DVD's using Picaso and some other program I can't remember. I've asked her to load a few YouTube videos on the a disc so I can play the music later in case they disappear for one reason or another. Thus far (she's the wiz between us, but not that up on the technology) she's been unable to figure out if it can be done. Can it?-Thanks.

I know there is a plugin you can get for Firefox that will allow you to save the video to your desktop but it is a weird file format, so you would need to find a way to convert it after.

I believe the extension is called greasemonkey.

I don't think it does anything other than copy the flashvideo file (FLV). I'm unaware of any freeware tools that can convert it into a non-proprietary format.

This is an old question, you may already have all the answers you need.

Nonetheless, I use Dr. Divx to convert FLV files to Dixv,

There are mny tools to go from Divx to DVD. This is a terrific site for information and links:

I use this free version: http://download.videohelp.com/download/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_0.52.99.exe

Good Luck!
