The GWJ Music Quiz, Version 2.0!

Last March, I put together a little music quiz that was actually a great deal of fun to throw together. Since it's almost been a years since then (already?), I thought it would be fun to revisit the concept. So, without further ado, here's the Gamers With Jobs Music Quiz, Version 2.0!

I've taken about 35 clips from various songs from the past 30 some years. Your job is to ID those songs. I made a special effort not to repeat any of the artists that were present in last years quiz, and that will pretty much be the only hint you guys get from me for the moment. What you need to do is to ID the artist or band and the song name. Ideally, you can post your answers in spoiler tags (which can be done by using the 'Quote' function and changing the text color to white): that way, anyone who wishes to participate won't stumble accidentally on the answer, and if someone is really stumped and wants some help, they can highlight the text.

There's no prize or anything, it's just for fun and to see how your musical recognition chops measure up. Most clips are from the beginning of the song, but there are a few exceptions. I figure I'll post the full list in about a week, like I did last time, unless all the tracks are identified before then. Anyway, here are the tracks:

I can't place 33 just now, but I swear it's on my iPod somewhere. Maybe originally from a podcast?

"color=white" inside brackets will color your text white. Remember to close the tag, though.

Seriously, I don't think 13 is what you guys keep thinking. I thought it sounded similar, but then I listened to it on my mp3 player and it was different.

Hrm, I don't know about that. I know the song well and I don't remember it being in The Matrix. However, there was a non-lyric version of it in Behind Enemy Lines.

I checked and it turns out they had a song in The Matrix Reloaded.

I supposed I might as well give a general hint in regards to the songs listed then: all are from studio recordings. No live versions are included.

that artist was my first guess, chord progression is the same, but i think its a different song and artist than who who chose. key is different.

Nice call EZ on #13, solves that mystery. As for #21, the beat matches, so sounds like you're right, unless there's an original that it was sampled from.
