Blood Bowl video (Skaven vs Orks)
Friday, February 16th, 2007 - 11:04am
The makers of Chaos League worked out an agreement with Games Workshop to do a Blood Bowl game. Not sure if anyone is interested in this game, but I'm looking forward to it. I'm still hoping for a true turn based mode. Anyway this video looks pretty sweet.

I'd forgotten all about this game! Absolutely loved it as a kid - can't wait for this to surface

I haven't played a GW game in quite some time so hopefully BloodBowl hasn't changed all that much. I did like Chaos League so I have hopes that this game will be somewhat fun.
I like Chaos League as well, but that was despite a huge number of frustrating flaws in the game. I'm a sucker for GW stuff, particularly Blood Bowl, so it really doesn't matter what I say... I'm buying their damn game anyway
Me too. I wish more of the their old games I played would make the jump to pc.
Cool! I'll probably pick it up, too. I missed Chaos League, but this looks like a decent candidate for online versus play. Maybe even distribution via Steam.
You know what I want to see, though? A Necromunda title. Either an FPS or a character-based RTS. Gaining experience and gear for your gangs. Scrapping for territory in the parts of the hive. With a Meta-map like Dawn of War: Dark Crusade.

That would make for a pretty cool squad based rts, or fps. That was one of the old games I was thinking about. It has been so long since I played a GW game I've forgotten most of the names. I'd also love a Man-o-War game.
Looks great. The board game always appealed to me but the painting minis kept me off.

Who says you need to paint the minis. I've never been one for really spending time painting stuff, making it look pretty, as long as its functional it'll work for me.
This looks really nice, I'd love to see some good online BB leagues.

Hell, I'd love to see some horrible online BB leagues. Good ones would probably render me catatonic!
Any news on what systems this will be on? I can't wait to play with the Dwarf Giants again!

I think it is pc only, but not really sure. Kinda worried actually cause the game isn't even mentioned on the Cyanide website at all. It does have a forum though, but not much info there.
Wait saw this mentioned, but until I see a faq it is just rumor mongering to me.
"DS (Pure turn based mode)
Nextgen consoles (More like Madden NFL game)
PC ( a mixture between the two, this mean both options separate or an amalgamation)"
If it is true I might have to get me a ds cause that sounds pretty cool!
This trailer says that this is as close to MLF remake as I'll ever need. Because let's face it, MLF was never about the IP and always about the humor.
I hate you soo much Phil Collins!

Oh hell yes! Pred, this is basically mutant league football. Love to see these guys tackle mutant league hockey too.

I can't believe they had an ad before the trailer. We're watching ads, to pay for watching ads.
Some new pics of Blood Bowl with a few that show the DS version. The article is in french so I'm just linking the pictures.

Man wish this game would come out already. It is awesome how close it looks to the board game.
Looks like the release date is around February 09? Glad they're taking their time to do it right.
