I would like this thread to be dedicated to GWJ Enterprises news and discussion, as a public forum for all things related to the corporation. Corp chat, evemail and pm's will remain the most appropriate way to discuss private corporation matters.

Subject: New corporation operations and membership system
GWJ Enterprises (GWJ) unveils a new step in its continual search to provide greater opportunities and services to its members. Effective immediately, the following services for and responsibilities of corporation membership will be extended to all current and future GWJ members in the EVE: Online universe.
GWJ asks from members that they contribute to the corporation by:
- Selling any unwanted ore, minerals, mission loot or salvage to GWJ at 90% market (buy orders) value, unless GWJ does not at that -time require those materials. This will entail depositing goods in a corporation container located on Josameto IV – Spacelane Patrol Assembly Plant. Transport assistance can be arranged for a large volume of goods.
- A 10% tax on missions and bounties will be applied for those members who prefer to focus on running missions or bounty-hunting instead of mining.
- Participating in GWJ operations, which include mining, hauling or other group activities, when possible.
- Production services for any blueprints the corporation possesses or a member provided blueprint copy for an item that GWJ doesn't have a blueprint. This service would require the member to provide the cost of the minerals or the minerals themselves as well as the production slot fee. GWJ will attain more blue prints as the Investment Branch expands (see below).
- Insurance on tech one frigates, destroyers and cruisers above and beyond normal insurance. This service will be primarily targeted at beginning players to help defer the financial risks associated with beginning the game. This service may also expand to higher tier ships as corporation funds and assets grow.
- The benefit of having help and advice, and helping one another out with our specific skill-sets.
- Access to a shared pool of equipment, supplies and ships.
- The establishment of a production and retail branch of GWJ Enterprises, sharing the same corporation wallet as the basic corporation uses, but growing that wallet through the sale of ships and modules produced by GWJ members.
- Inviting active GWJ members to invest an initial 25 million ISK to buy-in to the program. This will in no way be considered mandatory, and will not affect normal day-to-day activities within GWJ.
- Inviting outside individuals to invest an initial 50 million ISK to buy-in to the program.
- Future investors will be able to buy-in to the program at a higher price, to be determined at that time, based on share value relative to GWJ assets.
- The establishment of regular dividend payments on shares issued. As shares cannot be reclaimed due to game mechanics and share price will continue to rise as profits accrue, the attached spreadsheet (Google Documents) outlines the formula for determining dividend payouts. Dividends will not be issued whenever the GWJ wallet drops below 200 million isk. Additional shares will be distributed when appropriate in order to maintain a share level balance amongst the shareholders.
- All investors will receive "Junior Accountant" status within GWJ if they so choose, in order to monitor the financial activity of GWJ. Using an alternate EVE character and enrolling them in GWJ Enterprises will suit this purpose.
- A four tier investment system will be implemented (see spreadsheet document referenced above), rewarding those corporation members who, after buying-in, participate in Investment Branch activities such as mining, research, production, trade, and transport.
- For GWJ Enterprises members participating in the investment program, there will be opportunities to increase share level based on services provided to the corporation. This will be reflected by achieving special titles or ranks with additional privileges and responsibility, including heading corporation projects. This would be especially true for someone who took their time to train a certain set of skills in order to provide those skills to the corporation.

For members, you should either be able to go to the home page of the "corporation" tab and click the "give money" button, or go to your wallet, choose "corporation wallet" and find the "give money" button there.
Since we're still sort of a "family business" we need to work out handing out shares still, but it will be good to know how many people we have signed up so we can take care of that all at the same time.
Just to be clear, Rybowl = Khianna in game and is Director of the corp. so he has authority to make these statements, in case anyone is reading this who isn't familiar with us in game yet.
And I absolutely agree that GWJ rocks, but that's a given for any game where goodjers meet up. Mature, reasonable...how did Certis put it? "You guys aren't a bunch of douchebags."

It's actually both. We divided the membership and investment sections up top to be sure there is a clear distinction between just being in the corporation vs. participating in the industrial side of things. So if you'd like to join up, just look us up in game!
The corporation has been around since September, but we have only been loosely organized until now, and haven't been trying to do any of the investment thing either until now. This was mostly due to the fact that we didn't have the skills to support it.
Zaque, if you'd like to sign up, you can merely "forgive" 50mil of that debt we owe you and exchange it for shares.

Yeah thats pretty typical of people who have lots of isk, well at least those who don't pvp 99.9% of the time. At some point, you run out of things you can do (there is a limit to the number of research/industry slots you can run even though it is pretty high) and just want places to put your money and get something back from it while not having to think

If you really looking for big time isk (bil+) I'd still be game to invest as well, and I might be able to drum up some more isk for you guys.

Our main concern when creating these guidelines was having all of our effort head out of the corp. I realize if someone invests a billion isk that they should have some money coming back to them. I guess if our production got ramped up enough, we could make enough money to actually still have the members of the corporation get something out of it. When Monty and I were discussing this, I felt that if an investor was to put that much money into the corp, they would be getting a very large amount of the money that we were making. It didn't seem fair to have a corp member put in 25 million and an invester put in 500 million and get the same share of profits. Maybe we just tried to balance the amounts too much. I think if we were going to bring on large money investors we'd have to readdress the way we are handling shares.
I also am pretty sure Monty and myself are not wanting this to become another fulltime job so we were trying to keep this small so it didn't blow up on us. After we get a little more comfortable with this, we may be able to expand it out as well. We'll just take it as it comes.
I would think that for people we know well, we could take your money though.

Yeah, keep in mind that we're only about 10 members right now, and really only 4-5 super active. This means that if we wanted to accept larger amounts and take on bigger projects, we'd be committing ourselves to 30+ hours a week to get it done and make people money, which is fine for a lot of people playing the game, but not something we want to just dump on ourselves or anyone who joins up.
So we're starting small for now, but certainly thinking about the future. For those of you old folks who have been playing for years and years, try and remember back to a time when 50 million isk was a huge chunk of change, instead of a weekend spent ratting while watching TV.

Well, this corporation is probably going to be closing its doors. Mont has been consumed by that crazy last part of our moniker, the dreaded J, and I don't feel I'm having much luck with making money for the members of the corp, nor our investors. There just don't seem to be enough active people to make this worthwhile. Most of the time, we all just talk on the main GWJ channel for help and advice anyway. I would really like to thank everyone that has been involved with this endeavor. It's not the way we were planning things to go, but that's life sometimes.
I will be organizing assets in the next few days so they can be distributed back to contributors. If there is something in particular that you are concerned with, please talk with me ingame or send me a pm or evemail. There are a few of you in particular that contributed isk and/or items that Montalas or I will return to you. I will leave the corporation up for Mont to close when he gets the time. I would just like to get as much of this done as possible, so if Mont does happen to get time to play, he can actually pew pew some things rather than spend it all accounting.
If there's anything I can help with in game, just let me know. I'm still happy to help out whoever needs or wants it.

I don't really know. It really depends on the what you're looking for in the game. Are you looking to stay in Empire?
I think the experience will be almost the exact same for you if you're just in the GWJ channel. If you're planning on staying in Empire anyway. I don't think you have to rush off to find a coporation I guess is what I'm trying to say. I'll still be around in Empire space quite a bit so will help you run some missions sometime if you'd like. Hopefully, it will go better than last time.
If you're looking to get into 0.0, Zaque, Robear and Prome are in corps, but I don't know if they are recruiting, or how many sp's they require.

I could be interested in 0.0, but I can't play any more than a couple of times a week if I'm lucky, and I potentially have to get up at inopportune times to deal with a little one. So that tends to make me skittish about getting into groups because I HATE making people wait for me. Also was the reason I'd planned on clinging to empire space for a bit longer. Heck, I still haven't taken Khi up on his offer to run salvage yet, though I've managed to train to survey 3 and salvage 1.
Anyway, given all that, I don't know if I have anything to offer, Pro.

I kinda saw this coming, it seemed like GWJ, Inc lost momentum the last few weeks so I joined up with Goons yesterday since my best-internet-bud-in-all-of-Canadia is a goonswarmer. I was planning to keep my alt in GWJ to do mining and help out with production, but it seems that won't be happening either. Bummer.
