Texas A&M basketball

Just a thread for anyone who might want to discuss what an exciting year we're having. I'm watching us play Nebraska right now and so far Josh Carter has 7 3-pointers, and there's 14:02 remaining.

Would be a good idea. I plan to have Logan sit in for me when I am on my honeymoon.

Two 20+ point games for Carter in a row. That dude is turning into a 3-point freak.
Thank you for starting this thread. Now that I live in College Station again Aggie Basketball is all I eat, sleep and breath...
You going to the Tech game this Tuesday Fed? I have a ticket in Section 106, Row A so perhaps I will bump into again. Though I think I am on the opposite side of the stadium from you this time.
Gig em Ags. Gillispie is da man.
Too bad Nebraska started defending Carter for the final 14 minutes... he stopped scoring with over 12 min to go...

It was a great game, but the Aggies let too many defensive slip ups and a few sloppy turnovers here and there get to them.
I thought Law was up to his old magic again, but before I was able to let the game tying 3 pt shot with 6 seconds left sink in, the ball was going through the hoop on the other end. Well played, Texas Tech, well played.
Kansas is lucky they only have Texas Tech on their schedule one time this year, though it wouldn't suprise me if Durant pulls out a W against Kansas when they face Texas again at the end of the season.
It's gonna come down to the wire for who's gonna win the Big 12 championship this year, but I'd say Kansas has the inside track since the Aggies have another match w/ Oklahoma State as well...

Unfortunately Kansas has the MUCH easier schedule. The North is down this year compared to the South. A&M has to play all the South teams twice and Kansas just gets them once. If the Aggies pull of the league championship they will really have earned it.
Just finished a sweep of the Sooner state (and to be fair, the Cowboy state). Aggies are looking strong...

Man, this Big 12 tournament is so wide-open it's crazy. It's like all the byes have done is eliminate the possibility of any easy games.

Well, Kansas took advantage of their easier schedule to claim the big 12 title. I'm realy hoping for a rematch against Texas A&M in the final. That would be an incredible game, and if KU could pull out a win, would legitimize their Big 12 title. They really have been up and down this year, but since losing to the Aggies, are on one hell of a tear.

I am really, REALLY looking forward to this weekend, and all the rest of March Madness. Even though I attended our NIT games a couple years ago, and watched (at least parts - I was in a wedding) our NCAA games last year, I feel like is our first big year of March Madness. Not in my lifetime, but in my adult life. I expect good things and a good time from the Big 12 tournament, in part because there's no pressure to make it into the NCAA since we're considered a lock. Then the NCAA will probably be a very stressful experience, but you can't have the exstacy without the agony, can you?
Good luck in any games save those you play against us, Jay.

rock chalk jayhawks... just don't let texas win the big 12! sucks that last nights game was only available on PPV... (and the outcome sucked as well... i saw the 3 shots rim out as time ran off. hopefully the ags can learn something from it and not repeat the performance in the NCAA.
The real games start next week.

Well, I was really hoping for a rematch with A&M, but will take a championship game with Texas. If the Jayhawks don't deal with Durant better than they did at Allen Fieldhouse last week, they are in for a long day. The advantage the Jayhawks have is that any one of six players could lead tme in scoring on a given afternoon. Texas has to have Durant, or they lose.
Indeed! QFT!
I'm off work on both Thursday and Friday next week. Two glorious days of upsets and and pure basketball bliss. I love the opening round of the NCAA so much. That's saying a lot considering the how KU has faired the last couple seasons. Ouch!

Downside: I don't think anyone in the nation can stop Durant. Only Durant seems capable of stopping Durant right now.

Durant is a fantastic player, but he's only one guy.
5:08 left as I'm writing this, and I am, of course, pulling for KU. And indeed sad that we aren't rematching them.

I do not want to post my thoughts on Mr. Gillispie in a public forum, so suffice it to say that if his house burned down with him in it, I'd throw a party.
