I've got quite a ways to go still, but at least now I'm one closer. Gratuitous, maybe. Maybe I can write another post about tagging, and then reply to that too!

We seem to do them in batches. Didn't we just have 3-4 people a couple weeks ago?
Edit: I went back a few pages and found par, wordsmythe, Sku Boi, and Iron Gut all with tagging threads on the 7th page back. I knew it was right around 4.
I have noticed that we've slowed down on these, but it's really more like we had a shocking glut of them recently. I'd say that on any given day, there usually isn't anyone getting tagged.

If you're wondering how to find the threads related to naming people over 1000 posts, they usually are just "X, Choose your tag!" where X = the person's avatar name.
If you want to get your post count up and get a tag, think of your favorite game and/or political cause and start a bunch of threads about it. Just not too many, or you bring down the wrath of Certisium.

Back in my day, we contributed actively to the forums and earned our tags. Kids these days just laze around, lurking and watching their "music television."

I thought it was faster than that. There was some discussion in my tagging thread about it, because I got my tag pretty quick. Maybe the difference was that I had a kind of false start and then didn't start really posting for a month or two.

I think par might hold the "took the longest" title, out of those who have tags. My good friend who invited me to GWJ in the first place, Duffman, is still working on that title, though.

Well, I've been here since the second public week of the site and have yet to achieve "Executive". Although if I keep posting this fact, over and over, maybe I can change that...

You guys weren't around when tagging was an event. The whole forum would join in. Yup, not nary a person in any other thread. By gum those were the days. That was before the Sports and Computer Help forum. We didn't need those forums, no we had our own injinuity. Figured out our problems ourselves. We also had a postcount, yup, and when you had were gettin' close, well then, someone would sure let you know.

Yeah, yeah yeah. And you'd post uphill in the snow on the way to and from work.

Yeah, Luna, wordsmythe, par, Irongut and I (& probably others that don't come immediately to mind).
Do we have 'Hiring Classes' or something where people who are tagged in a four or five week period are required to play games together?

No rush. I've only been here for 2 years and 26 weeks without getting tagged.
What's the record?
edit: What's the record in the other direction?
edit 2: Hah. Avoided one more post to delay getting tagged.
