I owe Tim Schaffer 20 bucks
Saturday, January 27th, 2007 - 9:53pm
I owned a Xbox when Psychonauts came out, but for some reason I didn't buy it. When Microsoft added it to the 360 backwards compatibility list, I ran out and got it. Now I'm playing it and this game is heavy on the brilliance and imagination. It definitely gets better with repeat playing. Since I got the game for $20, I figure I own Tim Schaffer another $20. And a small pint of blood for not doing my part to keep his game afloat.

I owe him $8, but that's because he bought me lunch.

Just buy it for PC as well, that should cover it. That's what I did. Still need to get a game pad to play it with on the PC, though.
And yes, it is, as the kids these days say, "teh awes0mes."

Well, he's in San Francisco proper, I don't think he'd be too hard to find.

Yeah there was a lot of heart in that game. I got a little frustrated with the platforming parts, but I love the milk men.
I bought this game new when new. He owes me something!

Bought it day one, one of my favorite games from last gen. Tim Schafer rocks and I'm a huge fan of everything he's done (if my avatar isn't evidence enough of that).
My days of not taking you seriously have certainly come to a middle.

I wanted to buy it, but trying to play it left me a heaving ball of motion sickness.

That's probably what I'll do. Check out the graphics in anti-aliased glory.

Tried to buy it, gogamer.com wouldn't let me.

Is it true that it works on the 360 now? And if so, is there any upscaling done to the graphics?

Yes, it works great on the 360, but there is not any upscaling that I can see. Looks very 480p to me.

The 360 upscales all original XBox games. Remember, the 360 has a built-in hardware scaler so its not an extra strain for backwards compatibility.

Don't all BC games pay at 720p 2xAA, 2xAF?

I had that problem with the PC demo. I'm trying the full game with a gamepad in the hopes that my first experience will prove to be an anomoly. Your post does not fill me with hope.

I have always wondered this. When I play on my tv I have to change the rez of the 360 for the game to take up the full screen. If not, I'm left with bars on both side and an ugly picture.

Bought this within two weeks when it was new on Xbox and just recently bought it again on Steam to support Double Fine and help make up for Majesco's complete inability to market anything.
