"This Old Game" - the List

Is your game on the list?

What this is: This list is tied with a weekly (or possibly twice weekly) event in which goodjers can dig up old and slightly forgotten games and play them. Some games are incredibly fun but get lost in the shuffle. This will hopefully correct that. Think of it as the Island of Lost Games.

Why two threads? This list can be edited by any goodjer. The other one advertises the event on our community calendar.

How to use the List: Just add your old game to the list to let people know you want to play it. If that game is already on the list, add a number after the game to let us know how many people want to play it. For example:

Chromehounds (2)

...is what you would write if you are the 2nd person to add Chromehounds to the list.

I really enjoyed Titan Quest multiplayer, but because of the bug issues the number of MP games seemed to dry up pretty quick. I'd be happy for some TQ, or even if anyone wants to shoot me an Xfire I'm game.

With Crimson Skies, is that the PC version or the Xbox version?

Either way, I'll throw my name in for another Homeworld MP game.

Seconded!

I never got to play UT online (I missed the boat completely) but I played around w/Onslaught offline and I'm sure it would be a blast with the right group.

Myself, Lobo, and DS played a few games yesterday with much fun on the receiving end.

Just install Armageddon and then patch it (3.6.26.5 beta).

I'm totally up for UT2k4 Onslaught - just need some warning to install it and patch it up, etc.

Good question! If I had to guess, I'd say no. There were some changes made in the game for Xbox 360 version, nothing major, but I think it would be really odd... especially in Crash Events since there is no golf-meter.

So the short list of the next games on the block is:

Short List:
Chromehounds (6)
Burnout: Revenge(5)
Worms (4)

...which begs the questions already mentioned - which version of Burnout and of Worms? I'd say we wait for Worms to hit XBLA, unless there is a common PC version that we all have.

We shall grapple with the ineffable, and see if we may not eff it after all.

Yes please. The only version of Worms I have for the PC is Worms 2 and I'm having trouble finding it. It seems like everyone else has Armageddon (which I can't find at any reputable retailers) or Worms World Party, which I know nothing about.

My Burnout Revenge is 360 as well. And why you not showing the love to UT2k4?

I also want to point out that we had a Quake 1 CTF night a while back...like, last summer. It was cool, and would have been totally triumphant with more people.

Also, it's not terribly old, but I miss BF2. I didn't make the jump to 2142 for many reasons, and I miss it.

Worms - How many people will not be getting the 360 version? What version do you want to play? I can see Worms really taking off in 1 month when the XBLA version is released.

Combat with 3 planes selected ( select switch 27 times?) was the best.

And I broke my cousin's Pong machine

I don't know why, but the plane Combat really was the best. The version you described was probably my most played.

Keep in mind the Worms XBLA version is stripped of the majority of options and super weapons compared to the PC version. So if you want the full deal stick with the PC version.

I currently don't have any version of Worms, so I will definitely be picking up the XBLA version.

*Off topic* I like your new avatar Souldaddy. However, I really miss your ghost rider one you had, when I first joined the site. People switching their avatars always confuses me for awhile, because I just associate the picture with the person.
