The game recommendation uh, game!
Thursday, January 18th, 2007 - 12:53am
I found this in another forum that I used to visit and the results were very interesting. Originally done for anime it can easily be adopted for anything. So this one is about games.
Quote:
The purpose of the game Recommendation Game is to help people find out which game they should play next. The game plays like a twisted version of Telephone, only it never ends (hopefully)! Here are the rules, plain and simple:1. The first person will start by saying "If you liked Game A, then check out Game B ." The next person will then continue to say, "If you liked Game B, then check out Game C."
2. Please try and keep an interesting chain going. Don't pick two games that are too much alike (i.e. "if you liked Halo check out Halo 2"). Otherwise, we will never get anywhere new!
Anyways thats how this games gonna work, hope this proves helpful to some people!
I'll start us with a real easy one.
If you liked the story Half-Life, then check out Halo.

If you liked Halo then check out Metroid Prime.

If you like time games then ditch Zelda and try Chrono Trigger.
We shall grapple with the ineffable, and see if we may not eff it after all.
If you liked Chrono Trigger, you'll love Torment.

Well, I don't like to toot my own horn, but I'm a pretty good amateur rectal photographer. Would you like to see my portfolio?
Song of the Week: ...on Facebook...
If you like Shadowrun on either of those sytems than try Syndicate Wars.
If you liked Syndicate Wars (why?) then try it's far far superior predecessor, Syndicate.
My days of not taking you seriously have certainly come to a middle.
Whoa!
My Gamercard
If you liked Syndicate, try Commandos.

If you liked Commando's, you will probably love Hidden and Dangerous.
(Great thread!)
I don't watch, I interact!
If you even remotely liked the WWII strategy elements of Hidden & Dangerous, you'll probably love Company of Heroes. Love it!

If you like X-Com, but you prefer a fantasy setting, take a gander at Warcraft II.

If Guild Wars is your thang, but you're tired of broken online promises, try Diablo II.

If you think Diablo II isn't expensive or addictive enough, try Hellgate: London.

If you like Hellgate: London and want to fight more Hellspawn try Doom 2.

If you find genre hybrids like Hellgate: London interesting, then you may want to look into the upcoming Mass Effect.
