Anyon else having difficulty signing on to WoW - BH this morning? A little update downloaded and then it doesn't work.....I'm taking my son to my mom's for breakfast, so I hope it works this afternoon.

Unless you're running out of mana overhealing is the most worthless stat in the game. Underhealing is effectively known as "wiping".

yea im amazed... must be a new launcher because its downloading in the game, not in the normal download manager. Oh well.

I just keep getting an error that says my game version can't be validated

Yeah, I tried logging on today, my file got corrupted? I'm not using any mods... and WoW's site is down. Methinks something is going on with the expansion looming.

Blizzard introduce patch 2.0.5 this morning. It's a pretty small patch that allows you to reduce or disable UI acceleration, which was causing graphical corruption on a number of player's PC's.
Their having some problems though. First off, I believe they enabled players to download the patch before they ran those patches on the servers. This is causing a lot of people to get the "invalid version" error. Second of all, a lot of servers are getting overloaded trying to allow downloads for all the people logging in.
I'd say it's gonna be a little while before they get it straightened out. I was logged on this morning before 7AM, but didn't have to download anything. I have no clue why they waited so late in the morning on a weekend to start this.

I am in the server.. have been in since 9:30 EST. No difficulties. This must be some kind of bug or just happened this morning.

yeah, I'm getting an unable to validate game version error message. I tried removing my AddOns folder, but it didn't help.
Does anyone know if the forum accounts log into the same server as the game? Reason Im asking is because I cannot log into the game. No idea the error... I just get a "Disconnected from server" error about 8ms after I hit login. I also get an "Invalid account or username" error on the forums BUT I can log into the main site w/ my username and password to check on my account.
2 years they've been up and having problems like this? Eh... I'm a software engineer so I know issues happen (lord knows I've programmed my own) but touting 8 million accounts, having a lot of money and still having server problems blech! Guess Im agitated cuz I have things to do this afternoon and wanted to get some time in this morning lol.

Yes I believe the forums & accounts web sites are tied to the same authentication server as the game...not 100% sure though.

No... I get that error on the forums all the time. The forums are pretty tanked at the moment... too many people trying to figure out why they can't log into the game.

Guess Im paranoid due to the fact that a good friend of mine JUST got his account compromised and he is now blacklisted from Blizzard and has to go through an appeals process to get his characters back. Somehow during his vacation over the beginning of this year, someone got into his account, created a bunch of characters on servers other than where he plays and started selling items on eBay. Blizz found out, killed the account only it wasnt the perps account.
But Certis is right... going to be just like launch all over again.

No doubt. I can't imagine how long the queues will be on BH after Monday. I'm hoping Baelgun will be a good alternative.
There has been zero queue's since last weekend.. either everyone is taking a vacation or a lot of people transferred. I am hoping that a lot transferred
But I was able to disconnect and log on. Weird!

Its the 2.0.5 patch. Auth servers dont like it.
Fix:
1. Rename wow.exe to wow.exe.bak
2. run repair.exe
2a. it will redo 2.0.3 and 2.0.4
3. run the game -- works for me.
