Wow Addiction

I just wanted to let anyone who cared that I quit wow last night. I had become too addicted to the game. It was effecting my personal life too much. I was neglecting my real life responsibilities too much. All free time was spent in from of the PC playing wow. I gave my brother my account so if you see bounce online its him playing (you guys remember him anyway as Snizzles).

Good luck Paint, do you have a 360 so you can still play with us? That's a great way to still play with all of us and have a fun time, but not feel too much pressure to always be on.

Best of luck, and good on you for taking a look around, seeing things aren't quite right, and doing what it takes to make them better. I'm trying to do a bit of that in my life, (though not exactly WoW related) I'll use your example for inspiration.

Take care and good luck with the RL things. I know they will work out. It is really amazing when you think about it how much WOW is a social game. What other game would even a post like this be created for? Like I always say...you play the game for the people, and everything else is secondary.

I've decided that after a week long detox that I should just go ahead and sell my account if I can. If anyone knows someone interested or is themselves PM me. I put some details up in the Trading Post.

I sold my account through gamepal.com. They gave me a better deal than the other big site. I sold it for about a quarter of what they allegedly sold it for.
Both you and your prospective buyer can probably do better if you can avoid the middleman, but selling to gamepal was an exceptionally smooth transaction.

Gamepal offered me $154. I don't know if this is good or not but I'll probably take it unless GWJer offers close to that much.

That's more than I got. I sold 3 level 60s for $123. 2 out of the 3 had pretty much maxed out the pre-MC gear.

Sorry to see you go paint. I'm having trouble balancing life and World of Warcraft as well, but I think that goes to my general addictive personality, and not the game itself. If not WoW, then something else. WoW is pretty low on the destructive addiction scale, somewhere right above antique collecting and just below drift racing.

Mage is in 8/8 MC gear with Aurasong Mageblade and 2 pieces of Tier 2. 300 Enchanting helps as does the 1500 Gold about I guess
