I've been dying for some new tunes lately but I don't know where to begin. I don't have a set genre that I pledge allegiance to so it's harder for me to find something I like.

The majority of my music seems to be video game music and remixes. Besides that, I listen to rock, techno/electronica, some j-stuff, and a bit of pop. All that is pretty vague though. Some genres have a sub-genre and I like and dislike music from all of them. :/ I guess the best way to describe my tastes is to call me picky.

Something I'm trying to get into is whatever genre "spanish guitars" falls under.

I discovered the Trans-Siberian Orchestra last xmas and I fell in love with their music. Xmas + Rock = Instant Awesome. I'm actually looking for more holiday tunes recomposed in rock or heavy metal.

Anyway, I want to know what you all listen to. I'd like some suggestions to follow up with.

I suggest you go to www.pandora.com and www.last.fm.

Fo' Realz. Pandora's turned me on to at least 5-8 new groups this year, and we've got a GWJ Group over at Last.fm.

*points to his Last.fm account* Last.fm is a really great place to track what you listen to and then find not only similar artists, but different artists. Pandora? Not so much I think, it always tends to give me 100 artists that sound the exact same as the type of music i'm looking for, with no variety. That can of course be a great thing if thats all you're looking for.

I just recently found this collection of the The Most Epic Songs Ever. Worth investigating for some great classic tunes.

My personal preference is Bon Jovi. Your decibels may vary.

Some call me Scritch.

Yeah, a group Pred's won't accept me into. What gives, P-man?

If you're still into Xmas + rock, Twisted Sister released a Christmas album this year that might be worth checking out.
