I'm feelin' the crush of finals coming up here with all my tests and whatnot. Plus my wife's coming home from Iraq next week and the house needs to be cleaned... and the Christmas stuff ready... and... yeah... so if I show up to either of these runs it'll be a miracle. We'll see I guess!

heh maybe i can bring my hunter...if we dont have 5 or 6 show up..or if enough healers show up... /shrug. heh no offense but i like playin my hunter better than my priest..lol..and its easier to mark stuff heh.

um...we had enough for the boss, but we had a few things lacking...i healed the tank through phase 1 so everyone else could save mana. but at the start of phase 2, i had no mana and we had 2 other healers healing, cleria and khush. we also had 2 people afk for too long. The mana wasnt the issue since his poison cloud is an ability. Mana drain helps in phase 1 to cut down on the heals and renews she casts before transforming into a snake.
Sorry the healing failed, I have no excuse, I'll do better next time.
But I would like to say that the run seemed destined to fail, we had no momentum, and it a little momentum really seems to help. We just didn't get that groove. So, let's groove tonight.
I just want to second that if you're going to go AFK for more than a minute, if at all possible please announce it and let us know when you'll be back. It was very frustrating having players AFK for 20-30 minutes only to have us fail a final time and give up for the night. Of course sometimes you can't foresee it...
Quick question though... for a mage, what's the minimum level that I could tag along on one of these? I'm trying to powerlevel Vel a bit to join in on the action, and just want to get a good feel for when I'll be strong enough to do some good.

Definitely get the "A Collection of Heads" quest. It doesn't require you to get different heads, just 5 heads total. So if you go in and kill the snake boss 5 times (over the course of several weeks), it still counts! Reward is a pretty decent blue belt.

Eladon: Purchase a few nature protection potions as well. A lot of the damage comes from poison and it helps.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll get some. Although being a Paladin, I do have Cleanse which get's rid of 'most' poison's, and hopefully the ones in this instance...so I can be useful!:>)

I don't believe so. You start at neutral with them, and I think that's good enough. Heck, I don't think Kyra is even to friendly yet.

Unless you're running out of mana overhealing is the most worthless stat in the game. Underhealing is effectively known as "wiping".
