So here's the event, the start/end time is intentionaly nebulous. Feel free to suggest other games. Ill pick em according to demand and coin flips.

Obviously not everyone owns every game. I don't own Doom or Uno, for instance. Feel free to play pool on poker night

But... but... Rainbow Six night is also Tuesday Choices are good. I might show up for a game of Doom or something, but I've been playing Tom Clancy games on Tuesdays for a while now.

<------ Wow, look at the upcoming events list.

We shall grapple with the ineffable, and see if we may not eff it after all.

I would totally play some Bankshot sometime.

Except that as Souldaddy points out.. Tuesday totally belongs to Tom Clancy.

Hrm.

I have Uno, Texas Hold'em, and Lumines Live. I might be persuaded to purchase Doom if people are going to play it often.

Most of these games are so easy to pick up and play a few rounds of that interested parties should have no trouble playing between rounds of sneaking and shooting. It probably won't be until games like Settlers come around that we'd have to spend a whole night on it.

My other option is Thursday. If the people say Thursday, I'll make it so.

I'd lean towards Thursday, but I'm easy. Seems like Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are pretty well spoken for already.

Yea Mon, Tues are definitely not good days, Wednesday is already double booked with Halo 2 and MUA. Thursday pulls the PC crowd with BF2142 but has no console games. Friday - Sun aren't heavily booked, small crowd playing various RTS games but that's it.

My days of not taking you seriously have certainly come to a middle.

Man, if only I didn't have to work tomorrow night. I love Uno on XBLA.

EDIT: OOoooh! Make it Thursday and I'm in like Flynn.

By popular demand, the event has been Thursdayed.

Are there any games I've missed that enough of us have and enjoy? Marble Blast claims it has 2-8 players via Live but I dont remember hearing about any interesting game types.

It can be fun, if only hour or so at a time.

So when are people planning on getting on? I'm finally going to see The Pick of Destiny, but hope to be back around 7:15 EST if people are starting early.

I won't be home until probably 9pm EST. Which really only means that you're in the wrong timezone, Poppin.

Hrmm... Gears pickup games or UNO. Tough call really.

I'll be on and off. If a game gets going and you need a 4th, invite me even if I'm all gearsy

Hope you guys have fun. I dont have it so I'll just be the one sending good luck to... whoever wins. The info on Live says the game is 2-4 players so it looks like you guys could have 4. If some lurkers decide to join it'll probably have to start a 2nd table. I suppose one good way to signal interest is have the game open so it says UNO on other people's friends lists.

In tonight's episode of Goodjers Play Uno, the role of Demiurge will be played by Clover.

Dude, it's $5. If I can con Rabbit into buying it, I'm sure I can con you.

You haven't lived until you've experienced the electronic pleasure of screwing someone over in Uno on XBLA. Really. It's like the first time you bite into a strawberry, or that first snort of coke.

Or even the second.

If and when you guys start a game, invite Demiurge, who will actually be Clover, who will probably be playing Hexic. She's up for a game of Uno though.

I played Doom online several times, but people kept setting up "infinite time" and "infinite frags," or just plain dumping out. Very frustrating.

The one with her grandma in it showing her butt, then asking to cyber. Ya, it was odd, but other than that lots of fun.

It was a fun time, too bad it seems so unstable! Man it was like every 6 games someone would crash out.

But 'twas fun while it lasted.

I had every intent of joining in the Uno fun last night. Instead I spent the time doing an emergency faucet replacement in my kitchen. By the time that was done my brain was too fried even for Uno.

Not sorry I missed the crazy lady on the web cam though .

That sounds bizarre. So even grandma is a weirdo when she gets online? You guys were playing a public game?

I think next week we'll do Texas Hold'Em if that sounds good to you guys. They just did a patch this week that lets players join the game immediately instead of waiting 5 hands for the blinds to come around along with other tweaks to speed the game up a little like having the blinds scale up better to the amount of money on the table. The game is up to 8 players and people can come and go as they please, so it should be simple to get together.
