The Week Ahead Nov 20th to 26th

With all the new console playing going on this weekend, it's no wonder I completely forgot that I'm in charge of the ol' Week Ahead this week. It's safe to say that after the post-console launch afterglow (that could be rage, you should have that checked out) there isn't a lot coming out. The choice for the Game of the Week is clear, Rainbow Six: Las Vegas takes the cup thanks to a full compliment of coop play, multiplayer modes and slot machines.

On DVD this week we have Boston Legal - Season 2, Ice Age - The Meltdown, An Inconvenient Truth, Star Trek The Animated Series - The Animated Adventures of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek and more!

Zelda not the choice of the week?! Holy crap Certis, do you realize what you have done?

Of course, I would have picked Totally Spies! 2: Undercover.

Yet even then we ran like the wind,
whilst our laughter echoed under cerulean skies...

And last week it was left out because it wasn't coming out until this week.

Admit it Certis, you just hate Zelda!

Yeah at least Elysium uses the proper homophone when he picks a crappy Game of the Week.

I believe it was one of the founding fathers that said, "Sometimes it is better to blindfire your shotgun into the groins of your enemies than to not do that." It was almost in the Bill of Rights. Good choice, Certis.

I vote for a new rule: no "new" old Nintendo games that are download for the Wii are allowed in the New Releases list. Come on, Altered Beast? Sim City?

Oh yes, 2nd new rule: Any time any version of Zelda comes out, it is automatically the game of the week.

I think it's a good heads-up for new download content. I suggest, good sir, that you suck it up. Maybe Zelda will help.

It's more like a big ole' chunk of DLC, from what I understand.

Do all new downloadable 360 games get posted? Serious question, I haven't noticed.

And Zelda always helps.

Well, the list isn't made by us, it's made by our pal from Gametab. I believe he does include the 360 games when they are actually announced in time, but MS likes to wait until Monday to announce the Wednesday downloads. We get the list on Sunday.

I did, but have not played.

The Wavebird was on the second floor of the house, I was in the basement and Zelda was in the basement. I just couldn't be arsed to walk up two flights of stairs to get the Wavebird. The eye candy of Zelda wouldn't let me leave.

Gave it a whirl last night with the Wavebird and it played just fine. The only thing I noticed was that the game itself seems a bit choppy. It could have been like that in the original but I don't have a copy of it for my N64 so I can do a side by side comparison unfortunately.
