Well dang now I'm sad. After hearing this I was looking forward to some more G'kar(Andreas Katsulas}, but I had not heard he passed away. Came across a tribute on youtube. He was my favorite character next to Londo.
Also learned the Dr. Franklin(Richard Biggs} passed away as well. Double Dangit.
Wait a minute. You mean in the future we won't develop virtual weapon systems that require you to swim in the air like a jackass?
And what's with all of the grunting? I'd be like "hey boss ... I'm kinda' tired ..... maybe we can just install a button or something to fire the weapons"
I've never watched B5, but I'm glad to hear that scene wasn't representative. It was truly ridiculous.
I actually read a few of the series' scripts a while ago (long story) and the writing was, while drenched in pathos, consistently above average. I understand the B5 franchise is still in the hole thanks to brilliant marketing on the station's side ("It cost 90 mil to produce, brought in 200 mil, and still, we've got a minus of 50. Great deal, wasn't it?"). Guess the movies were *ahem* financially motivated.
And if I haven't seen further, it's because those bloody giants blocked my sight.
I really enjoyed the tv series, and some of the movies were alright. I just never got into rangers or crusades. That scene doesn't do babylon 5 justice at all. It was my favorite sci-fi series before I saw Firefly.
Andreas was the driving force behind this show. The best scenes in the show were his. The pinnacle was the ep where the narns were starting to fight each other and he went ballistic. Acting wasn't always great on B5 but his skills were better than everyone else combined.

Sweet! I hope it is better than the ranger stuff they did though.
Civilized people do not discuss Legend of the Rangers.
Skriss: lvl 70 undead mage - Bloodhoof
Kyrator: lvl 63 night elf rogue - Blackhand
Thadryn: lvl 70 draenei mage - Blackhand
I can't forget that woman who was in the virtual turret, and the OH NOES moment when she has to flick her feet to save the day.
It's 1.5 hrs of your life you'll NEVER get back.
Skriss: lvl 70 undead mage - Bloodhoof
Kyrator: lvl 63 night elf rogue - Blackhand
Thadryn: lvl 70 draenei mage - Blackhand
Huh, I've never seen Legend of the Rangers. I'd forgotten it existed. And wow, that was bad.

Don't see this one going too far. B5 has some kind of hex on it.

Seriously, why is B5 always cast like a soap opera?

I loved "In the Beginning," thought "Thirdspace" and "Call to Arms" were decent.....
The others.....well.....I can't say I have much to say about those. I never got to see the Rangers one......so, did I miss anything?
Such a great show, too. Sad to see to it marred by bad tv movies - hopefully this new one will be a major step in the direction of seasons 2 & 3.....

You're probably better off, especially if you're a fan of G'Kar.

After they picked up Kenickie it was all down hill

That clip above was unbelievable. Being a huge fan of the series, I did myself the favor of never watching the films, and I'm glad now

Haha! And by "Haha" I mean "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot". It's been ages since I saw B5, but now I wonder if the dialogue and all that were always this bad.
