I'm planning on being available for ZG on Wednesday. I hope to be 60 by then, but may only be my lowly 59 self.
Looks like I'll miss this week's run into ZG...sorry. As of Tuesday, I'll be even farther north in Cold Lake, Alberta (and yes, it has earned that name) playing "Army" with the Canadian Forces.
I get back next Wednesday (22 Nov), and after a thorough scrubbing, and several rum-n-cokes, you can count me in for that raid. I know it's still over a week away, but I'd like to make a request...can we take down the Snake Boss? (I have a quest to slice-n-dice the bugger)

Hit 60 yesterday, so I think I should be good for ZG. Anyone who knows, please let me know what I should do to get ready for Wed night as far as where I should be logged out, any stuff I should bring (beyond Greater Blessing reagents and water to drink), and any mods I need to be running (I haven't set up much in the way of mods yet).
I'll be back next week troll (insha allah)..so you can assume that bosses will fall like wheat before the scythe
Unless you're running out of mana overhealing is the most worthless stat in the game. Underhealing is effectively known as "wiping".

I should be there with Bort for this week's ZG run. As long as I keep myself prepared for my test I've got this Friday, I think Wednesday will be a WoW night for me

To prepare, have CT raid and vent loaded up. I personally bring 40 to 60 of each reagent I need for spell casting. Health and mana pots. We have some nature prot pots in the bank but need fire prot pots. The greaters are best, but any will help. Am i correct in counting 4 at the moment? Mateo are you able to come on wed?

If anyone wants the enchantment to their cloak that improves their different resistances, I can do it. I don't have the mats as they are kind of unique and esoteric (i.e., not used for any other enchantments), but if you've got 'em and want the enchantment, message me sometime.

Whisque (me) is in for Wednesday. If we even have one mage we'll take down the first two bosses no problem. We were so close last week it hurt!

Yes I believe there will be. They have Ony first and then ZG after with us. The arrangement is we each try and bring 10 then have fun!

I have some dreamfoil that I collected out in Felwood last night, and I think I have some more elemental fires in the bank, so I should be able to log on quickly tonight or tomorrow morning and get you another five or so greater fire prot pots. I'm not sure how I'm doing on the blackmouths at the moment, but I know I have plenty of stranglekelp in the bank/mail, so if I have the blackmouth oils, I'll certainly send you what nature prots I can.
I think I'm tapped out on mats for everything else though. I'll have to check my stores, but it isn't looking optimistic (I haven't been playing as much here lately, and when I have been on, I've been more focussed on leveling).

Hey, Kiri, can you explain general raid etiquette/responsibilities and the loot/rolling rules so that I don't inadvertently make an ass of myself tomorrow night?
Or is that something that'll be explained at the beginning for any other new guys like me to these large-scale events?
Unless things have changed, the ZG loot policy tended to be:
roll greed on all coins
roll need on bijous (until you get one)
pass on all BOPs (blues / purples)
you can get one blue and one purple during the run
This may have changed with the new alliance, so YMMV!

Troll - the cloak enchantment I have grants +5 to all resistances. The mats are:
2x Lesser Eternal Essence
1x Heart of Fire
1x Core of Earth
1x Globe of Water
1x Breath of Wind
1x Ichor of Undeath
There are also a few that are more specific, such as one that adds +15 to fire resistance. I don't have it; according to some guy on Thottbot it sells for 100g (no idea what it sells for on Blackhand). The mats for it are:
3x Nexus Crystal
8x Large Brilliant Shard
4x Essence of Fire

I have a Heart of Fire and Globe of Water laying around, not doing anything. You're welcome to them, if you like.
As for the +15 FR enchant, it's ~10-15g from the Cenarion Circle vendor down in Silithus. It's the mats that cost upwards of 100g, i'm guessing.

Remind me when I'm online Fed, I can send you a [Heart of Fire], [Core of Earth], [Breath of Wind], and [Ichor of Undeath]. At least, I'm pretty sure on the last one, but definite on the first three. I won't be able to get enough hearts of fire and use them anytime soon to make the hammer I want to make anyway.
I now have no idea what I was reading. I'm looking at a thottbot page for this forumla, and it says what you've said. Weird.
Anyway, to Tyrian and Fars and anyone else offering to send me mats for any of this - it would be better to send them to anyone who wants these enchantments. I don't need them per se, and that way they could get whoever is available and can do it to perform the actual enchantment.

The loot rules for ZG are as follows:
Roll need on coins and bijou until you get one then roll greed. You are allowed 1 coin and 1 bijou.
Greed all BOE
Pass BOP unless it is an upgrade, inwhich case ask if you can have it. If there is more than 1 for an item we have you roll.
The Hakkari items are rolled on by the classes that use them using random.
The mining and herbalism is done by those who have the items which allow 315 skill. The bloodvine and soldarite are then rolled on by the guild leaders or their chosen rep.
Skinning on bats, tigers, snakes and other stuff can be done by anyone.
Don't think I missed anything.

Will they tell us our roles/duties in Vent at the beginning of the raid then?
Sorry, I know I'm full of questions, but I just want to be someone that's worth having along. 
The bank has nexus crystals. However, I am being stingy in giving them out, as I want those on the frontlines to have dibbs for the +15 FR enchant ie rogues, warriors and paladins as well as feral druids.

For those who have not been, we will give you a clue. In general, resto druids, priests and some pallies heal. Warriors tank with assistance from rogues, feral druids and some pallies. Were a pally plays dependson their choice of skills. Pallies often heal. Mages, warlocks and hunters do dps. With the higher level instances, tatics and where you stand are a big factor in success. Before each fight, these will be laid out for folks.

Yup, that's different from what I'm used to, but I imagine it's because at the high end, BoE's can be sold on the AH for hefty sums of gold, and thus are useful to everyone in that regard.
